...godDAMMIT!! Seriously Mangus, why can't you just f*ck off already!? I mean, who do you think you are, a comic book villain!? ...inhale On top of that, Silverspeak is in a pretty screwed position right now. Unless Green Wing shrugs off practicality and pulls off a hail mary pass, I can't see how he can get out of this, or if he can make this encounter a victory (except he's not going to be able to kill Mangus just yet because he motherf*cking Mangus). ...exhaleThis story is really about the inescapable, intertwined destinies of Silverspeak and Mangus, isn't it? With Mangus doing his damnedest to make Silverspeak's life miserable... You know, the worst part is that all of the extra shit that Mangus caused might not have happened if their hometown just remembered that discipline was an essential part of raising decent people/ponies; instead of getting themselves hard over the fact that he could make his horn glow the brightest as a foal, and giving him the silver platter and turning him into DIO. ...Ugh, I can't believe it's going to take a whole month to get some answers..
But seriously, I hope he's just a changeling instead of really being Mangus. Since Chrysalis mentioned that she uses green amber in her own hive, this being a changeling from a different hive would make some degree of sense. By melding together with Black Fang, the dragon could produce changeling amber to imprison all the ponies. That, and seriously, I can't believe Mangus is still around. This is why you gotta cremate the body, folks! Unless there's a necromancer around. I don't think necromancy has even been hinted at in this series, but I don't remember too much about that ancient king whose horn was retrieved in the first story.
If it is Mangus, though, I have to wonder if those two ever expected, back when they were colts, that their entire lives would constantly be twisted and turning around, with Mangus always trying to torment Silverspeak and Silverspeak always coming out on top, just barely.
Working my way through this great story, sadly not as fast as usual but time is the limit. Great story as usual though the timeskip was a bit unsettling to adjust to, but still loving how yer just not pulling your punches, still ready to just throw everything at your poor protagonist for delicious trial and drama.
Just wanna pop in to vent ( spoilers!)FRIGGING BLUEHORN, THE TWIST VILLAIN IS SOMEHOW BLUEHORN! THE HECKIES!? I mean, not really a complaint, the reveal was freaking epic, just wow. I'm just... HOW THE HECK IS THE CHILDHOOD BULLY STILL ABLE TO KEEP POPPING IN AS THE TWIST VILLAIN FOR STILL GROWING SCHEMES?! Easy to say I got mixed feelings, still taking it as interesting writing, and Imma definitely chugging on to get the rest of the story, just needed capslock a bit about that reveal, just dang.
Oh... Oh hell no... Not HIM!
