Teach Me to be like You, Shining Armor

The mighty mountain that cover the land act as her shield
Standing tall against the howls and bolts of thunderclouds
No matter how they smite, for the earth, the mountain never yields
He watches her grow and watches her proud.

As a part of the ground, the mountain will always be there
To help her through struggles and share in her mirth
To watch her grow into a lovely, powerful mare
To protect even I, lowly dweller of the earth.

You are a force in her life beyond my hands
You are unflagging, extending beyond my sight
You are a pillar that upholds the land
You are her friend, her brother, her knight.

Teach me mountain to be more like you
Teach me to face all foes regardless of my fear
Teach me your strength, your courage too
Teach me how I can help the one we hold dear.

I will learn like you to uplift her, to make her smile, to bear her pain
And I will do my best to defend Twilight in your eternal name.
