Ode to Sweetie Belle

If I had seen you before Rarity, would I have fallen in love?
Your enthusiasm for life and mane curls are all too charming.
Your white fur and soothing voice are like a gentle dove.
Your smile is bright, warm, and so disarming.
Your kindness incredible fills us all.
Your mane is purple like the flags of ancient royals.
Your song is mesmerizing like rainfall.
Your heart is like a knight’s, strong and loyal.
Your eyes spark with emerald green.
Your eyes shine brighter than the trees on this earth.
Your eyes have a lustrous sheen.
Your eyes are more precious than diamonds in worth.
You are too lovely for this or any one life.
You should be memorialized and carried through time
To give ponies relief from their worldly strife
To sing your voice and ring your chimes.
I cannot hold you. Like the muse, you are beyond my hands.
I am unworthy. Your spring should never fall or winter.
I must not darken or whither your green lands
I will not cut down a tree to a splinter.
If I had seen you before Rarity, I would have given many a sigh.
Seeing and knowing you could never be mine.
