Never Again

Don’t let them take me is what I said to her
—when I lost control and avarice ruled me.
I hurt so many ponies and lost their trust
That I never deserved.

When I lost control, let avarice rule me
I became the monster I never wanted to be, and lost
The person I never deserved
To be when I lost myself.

I became the monster that I always see in my nightmares. I lost
Everything important—my friends and family
That I never deserved back after
I failed to control myself.

Everything important—my friends, my family
I hurt them and should have lost their trust
—when I failed to control myself.
She said I won’t let them take you. So I won’t let it take me again.
