In Adagio's defense, they wouldn't have needed to fight the Rainbooms at all if it weren't for Spike and Vinyl, neither of whom they ever knew about until that critical moment.
I must say, that bit with the portal provides an exceptionally elegant explanation for why they just happened to be in Canterlot at the right time under the assumption that they're immortal, which I don't think I've seen before. Quite clever of you, I'd say

The description seems to imply that there's going to be more drama between the sirens in the chapters to come and I'm quite curious to see how you're going to handle it. It seems to me that Adagio's still got a fair bit of ambition tucked away, which I'm always glad to see, so hopefully that means your portrayals of the other two won't disappoint.

(It's interesting you mention the present tense - to me, it's been a bit jarring to see so many fics in past tense, coming over from ao3. I've noticed an interesting stylistic divide growing between present vs past tense, but that's neither here nor there, I guess. Not many comments actually make me stop and reflect, though, so I thought I'd mention it.)
Hopefully I'll be able to rein in my folkloristic info-dumping to live up to your expectations - there's so much fun Siren folklore, especially Russian, this is gonna be a challenge for me!
