The moon glimmered above the capital of Equestria. Luna quietly left her room, closing the door very quietly. She was wearing a dark blue coat, with a few black spots near her flank that continued to proceed down to her hooves. Her wings were folded inside, her face was covered with her hood, with with only her horn sticking out of her head. She was ready, determined to stop what was going on with her sister.
“Let’s do this”.
She tiptoed quietly through the hallway and made a left. She spotted guards patrolling the hallways of the castle. Luna was making sure she wasn't seen from behind a wall.
"Ugh, I hope this works," She whispered quietly under her breath as she ignited her horn.
She ignited her horn, and cast a sleeping spell she found earlier in the Canterlot Library. She looked at each guard as they slowly fell asleep. Luna smiled at her accomplishment and continued walking to her sister’s room. A few minutes later she reached her door.
“Okay Luna, just simply take the crystal, and leave in peace,” She said to herself quietly to reassure herself.
She opened the door and saw her sister sleeping in her bed. The crystal was just sitting there on top of the fireplace she had in her room near her bed. Philomena, her phoenix however was nowhere to be found. She would usually sleep in her cage hung from the ceiling.
She was about pick up the crystal quietly and leave, but then it vanished, so did Celestia.
“What?!” She exclaimed as she froze.
The fire ignited, and she turned around. Before her was a furious Celestia in a corner with her crystal.
“You came in the middle of the night, to steal this from me?!" She yelled with her Royal Canterlot Voice, in a very angered tone as she levitated the crystal near her. "How dare thee! Stealing from Equestria's ruler?!" She continued.
Luna froze and stared at her in fear. She made sure she wasn't moving at all. Unfortunately, Celestia came closer and lifted her hood.
"Luna?!" She exclaimed as she saw her younger sister. Luna could only look at her with a guilty face.
"So, you were after this crystal," She exclaimed as she circled around her.
Luna kept quiet. Her hed hung low, and her eyes were closed.
"Are you jealous or something?!" She exclaimed, as she prepared to tell her off.
Luna finally spoke up.
"I CAME HERE TO HELP YOU!" She exclaimed. Celestia backed up a little, her face looked shocked for a moment, but she managed to return to her angered face.
"I WAS WORRIED! OKAY?!" She said as tears began to pour from her eyes. "You've been acting like this since you left! I-it's not normal!" Luna continued.
Celestia remained angry at her.
"This crystal has nothing to do with this!" She replied, "You will not take this from me, you will never get it!" She exclaimed and ran out the door.
”WAIT! STOP!” Luna exclaimed and chased after her.
Celestia ran as fast as she could. Luna was slowly keeping up. Celestia continued running, Luna was near her, but Celestia teleported. and escaped.
Luna stopped dead in her tracks.
“Where did she go?” She exclaimed as she searched for her sister.
She teleported to the throne room, where she surprisingly found her. She stood on her throne, looking at Luna who appeared in the middle of the room.
"Oh, so you decided to see the show," Celestia exclaimed as she saw Luna's tiny figure appear from her throne.
Luna turned around and faced Celestia. Her eyes were glowing red, just like it did before, hours ago.
"Celestia.. please.." She begged for the crystal.
Celestia looked at her with disgust.
"I need to find out what's wrong with it! I can help you!" She exclaimed.
"You don't know anything about this crystal, you fool," She exclaimed as she levitated the crystal.
"Neither do you! We can figure this out together! But I need you! Sister.." Luna's voice echoed across the room. and started walking towards her.
Celestia finally started to calm down. Her eyes were no longer glowing red. She looked down and thought about what she was doing.
"Don't listen to her.. She just wants it to become more powerful than you.." A voice inside Celestia whispered to her.
Celestia tried to fight back that mysterious voice.
"We can figure this out, sister," Luna exclaimed as she continued approaching her throne.
Celestia looked at her, still uncertain.
"Trust me," She said as she held a hoof up.
Celestia looked at her, her eyes were beginning to fill up with tears. But that voice was too strong. She declined the offer and turned around.
"No.." She said under her breath.
Luna's heart was shattered.
"Sister..?" She asked quietly. She didn't know what to expect.
”You’re too late now..” Celestia exclaimed as she held the Crystal before her. Her eyes glowed red again.
"Oh no.."
