When someone famous dies the whole world comes to a halt. Everypony wants to attend the funeral and everypony talks about it, because something Significant has happened. If the truth were known, though, most of the mourners didn’t actually know the departed. They cared because she was Famous, and therefore her death matters.
When Carrot Top died the world did not stop. Most ponies didn’t even notice. After all, she wasn’t famous and she wasn’t a hero. But to her friends it was a different story. The death of a celebrity would have been a distant tragedy – but the loss of a close friend was deeply personal.
This was so deep and beautiful... I enjoyed it. I'm sorry for your losses, it really sucks to lose someone close to you.
Oh my.
Absolutely deserving of the Sad tag- This rang true in all respects.
I'm so sorry for your losses, though.
Oh god... It's true that when celebrities die, everyone treats their death like some horrible thing, and it is, as all deaths are horrible, but every day, someone dies, and it will go unnoticed by many except for those who truly cared. And that I think, is both heartwarming and more heartbreaking than the death itself. And I'm sorry for your losses, I know what it feels like to lose someone you love.
I am sorry that you had to lose people who were close to you, but I think that this story captures the bittersweet emotions that always come with this sad part of life. I hope it helped you a little bit to write it.
*sigh* Alas poor Carrot Top, we hardly knew ye...
