Chapter Five: The Proposal Pt.2

"Fluttershy?" asked Discord as he walked into her cottage, he was wearing a black tuxedo, his bowtie was red, he looked very formal.

"Coming," said a soft voice from upstairs

then,.....there she was, she was wearing an elegant layered green gown, it had shimmering teal diamonds that resembled dew on a leaf for the front, the skirt was teal with green lining around the layers, she wore crystal clear shoes that were made of crystal itself, and her her was done up in a bun, and there was a shimmering white lily behind her ear, she looked absolutely ethereal.

"You look really formal Discord," she said

At first, all Discord could get out were stutters, then he remembered why he was there in the first place and then he said

"uhh,...thanks, you look,...." he said the first words that came to his mind "like an Angel"

she blushed and said, "Thank you,....so,.....where are we going?"

"You'll see," he said as he held out his paw which she gladly took,

"Close your eyes," Discord said

Fluttershy complied

Discord then snapped his fingers, they appeared in what could have been a garden sanctuary, the land was perfectly even with soft grass layering the earth, the grass wasn't too high, or too short, above the land was a beautiful night sky full of stars, the moon was also full, there was lots of room, and there was a table and chairs on the far left, there were lots of flowers, and to top it all off, the was an enormous waterfall, everything in the land,...was perfect.

"Okay, you can look now"

When Fluttershy opened her eyes, she gasped, it was the most beautiful setting that could ever take place in the night

"Discord,......this is wonderful," said Fluttershy resting her gaze upon the draconequus

"Just like you dearest, I thought you might like it, so I set this up, tonight is supposed to be very special"

"May I ask why?"

"I'm sorry, but I don't want to spoil the surprise"

"Fair enough," she said

Discord gestured her to move to the table, which she did before she sat down, he pulled the chair out for her.He summoned a salad for her and some apple juice, while he just had some cotton candy and chocolate milk

"This is really nice of you Discord," she said

"Well as long as I spend time with you, it's no problem"

"Why are we here?I mean I love this place and everything but,......this is a bit much,........ just for a date that is"

"Well, like I said, tonight is special"

she nodded and continued eating

as soon as they finished, Discord used the tuft on his tail as fingers and snapped them, music started playing

"Shall we?" he asked gesturing to the open field

she nodded as she got out of her seat, Discord gently took her hooves in his paw and claw and lead her to the field

Discord wrapped his claw around her waist while his paw took her hoof, he didn't want to scratch her by accident, she used her free hoof to grab her skirt.

as they danced, the music played, Discord held her like the most delicate thing in the world, his grip was firm but gentle,
Fluttershy meanwhile, was enjoying herself, she felt free, but at the same time, she felt protected, like there was a forcefield around her, she looked around, but there was no forcefield, she felt happy, whenever she was around him, this was one of the reasons she loved Discord, she leaned her head against Discord's chest, Discord looked down at her, he smiled, he was in bliss whenever he had her this close to him.

Eventually, Discord twirled her around and then dipped her, at this she slightly gasped, but smiled nonetheless he then lead her over by the waterfall, they sat down

"Fluttershy, that was wonderful"

"it really was"

they both laughed, there was a silence for a few minutes, then Discord broke the silence

"Fluttershy?"

"Yes?"

"I got you a gift"

"Really?'

"Yes,....here it is," he said handing her a book.

She opened it, she gasped, it was full of pictures of all the dates they went on, it even had their very first one, she remembered all those times he had made her laugh and all those times they kissed, and all those times when she was happy, she looked up at Discord, her eyes were full of joy,

"Th-Thank you" she said

"You're welcome,....Fluttershy,...I have to ask you a question"

"What is it?"

Discord bent down on one knee, he held one hoof in his paw and claw

"Fluttershy,....you're the most important pony in my life,.,..when we first met, I thought you were beautiful,...I also thought you were nothing more than that and that you were just a pony I could find anywhere else,....until you showed me kindness, I then realized that I wanted your friendship, and well,....I ended up falling in love,....something I never thought I could do,...I guess that just goes to show that with me, anything's possible, but I digress,....Fluttershy,....I love you more than all the chaos in the world, and I'd rather give up all my magic, just to see you happy, safe, and secure,...and I know that even I can't stop anything from happening, so I just want you to know,...that whatever changes happen in our lives,...I want to go through that with you"

he reach down into his pocket and pulled out a pink box

"Fluttershy,...my dearest,darling,treasure,..........will you marry me?" he said opening the box revealing the ring he had made for her

Fluttershy gasped and put her hooves over her mouth, there were tears in her eyes,....she opened her mouth about to say something, when out of nowhere, something swooped down from the trees towards Fluttershy who started screaming, Discord leaped in front of her and swiped his claw at the thing's face when the thing fell, Discord and Fluttershy saw it more clearly,......it was a changeling

"Hand her over if you want her safe," said the changeling

"Never," Discord snarled

"Then I'm afraid it's come to forcing her," said the changeling, he scratched Discord to the point where he couldn't stand up, meanwhile the changeling grabbed Fluttershy and said "Come on toots"

"DISCORD HELP!!!!!!!", but the changeling put his hoof over her mouth as he flew away with her

"Discord? what's wrong" asked Twilight as Discord appeared, he had an angry look on his face

"Did she say......no?" asked Rarity gasping in horror

"No,.....she didn't get the chance, something took her"

"What was it?" asked Twilight

"A changeling," said Discord "And right now, I want to kill him"

Sombra sat upon his throne, waiting for his servant to come back with the mare, eventually he saw a changeling toss a mare onto a pillow inside the castle, the mare was unconscious so far

"I have retrieved her sire"

"Excellent," said the king

Fluttershy's eyes fluttered opened, the first thing she saw was King Sombra,....he attacked the crystal empire before

she squeaked and tried to run, but a changeling blocked her path

"Leaving so soon? you just got here" said Sombra smiling wickedly he walked down from his throne and used his magic to pull her towards him.

Once he did, he sat in front of her, he ran his hoof through her mane, he used his other hoof to lift her chin up so he could see her face properly

his grin widened

"Ah yes,......much prettier up close" he purred

Fluttershy tried to back away but Sombra had cast a spell to keep her in place

"W-Why do you want me here?" she asked trying to be brave

"Well darling, to put it bluntly, I want you as my bride"

Fluttershy's pupils shrank to the size of gumballs, she then fainted

"Take her to my chambers" commanded Sombra "This is her new home"

Author's Note:

BTW this is the definition for the kind of toots word I'm using:

Toots is a slang term similar in meaning to "babe" or "sweetie" or "honey".

I remember reading this a long time ago when there were only a few chapters. Man I cannot wait to see what happens next.
