Epic Bass

I am just an ordinary pony, looking to kill some time. I live in the United States. I am a 17 year old male, and a proud Brony. Rainbow Dash is waifu. I am also a YouTuber...sort of. Lol.

After 1000 years of sleep, Epic Bass awakens to meet the mane 6, and become friends with them. But Epic's revival is not all fun and games. His return also means the return of an old enemy, Flaring Flame, who will stop at nothing to defeat Epic Bass, and restore Nightmare Moon to power!!! Can Epic and the mane 6 defeat this terrible enemy? Will the Elements of Harmony, and friendship be enough? Or will this horrible foe succeed in his plans, and help Nightmare Moon return to seize Equestria?

The Story is not complete, and the full version may or may not have an upped rating, due to the fact that I do intend this for older teens...and there is a romance portion of this story. I hope you enjoy. Tell me if you want more. It may take me a while to post more of this story, due to the fact that I have very little time on my hands at the moment. At the time that I posted this, I actually was halfway through another chapter. I want to try and get permission from Hasbro and Lauren Faust to ACTUALLY publish this story as a book. Though, it is highly unlikely that will happen.

I want to try and get permission from Hasbro and Lauren Faust to ACTUALLY publish this story as a book.

The folks who do custom printings of their stories tend to go through independent publishers and go around Hasbro entirely by using cost-sharing type agreements with their fans (basically, they announce intent to do a printing run, get a bunch of people to sign on, then take the order to publishers, get a quote for the intended volume, and have everyone split the cost).

It's not exactly something you need permission for... but it is something for which you'll need a huge fanbase and a story really worth owning a physical copy of. Absolutely nobody gets there on their first try. Few people get there ever, and nobody even needs to get there to have written something worth writing. All you need to do to do that is have fun and learn something.

Keep writing, and learn from yourself. Keep reading, and learn from others. Some day, with six or seven full-sized books under your belt, it's a dream you might be able to make progress towards. But don't get hung up on it, don't let it be the only reason you write, and if it becomes apparent that that just isn't something you can or will do, make sure that failure isn't the only thing you take away from your time as an author... or better yet, don't take it as a failure at all. It's an adventure, so enjoy it and make it one worth having.

Ok I read over the prologue and this story is very telly. No, it's all telling, there is no showing at all. The pacing is also very fast. Epic Bass goes from being friends with Luna to an epic battle with his arch rival, in less then one chapter. Also why are Epic's attacks "wubs."

You need to add detail like why Celestia, of all ponies, doesn't like Epic Bass. Or why Flaring Flame is helping Nightmare Moon. Description could also help, where are they, what does it look like, kind of stuff.
