It's not a name that many would think highly of, but to the army it means something. It is a name of someone who dreams of joining them in the air, patrolling and fighting enemies, protecting the proud and strong country of America.
Yet during my second period of working to achieve this, two interesting events happened that shook me. First a grayish-blue pegasus in a blue and yellow uniform appears on the Air Force base, then I find a half-bird, half-lion mythical being in my garage, along with three little ponies. The world just got stranger.

As the wonderbolts are basicily the air force of equestria, i'm sure she would get along with the other Pilots. Except they remind her of her friends and she becomes sad

Given that Fleetfoot is a elite flyer, she would make a Good addition to the team. But I'm sure it would remind her of her wonderbolt friends and become sad. Question is, can a pegasus keep up with a jet fighter?
It's nice to see that fleetfoot helps out in any way she can. If she dosn't get a second Chance to be a member of the air force, she could help out delievering the Mail. And have a good sleep and sweet dreams

Actually a couple missconceptions here... The Army and the Air Force are different branches (although both have planes and helos) Also, Top Gun pilots were part of the Navy, not the Air Force.

Whoa whoa! Cool your jets! (Pun intended) The character is a trainee, which means that he would never stand anywhere near a Typhoon! (Which also, is a single-seater as far as I know, cause my country has Eurofighters, and if there are twin seater versions, I seriously doubt they will be used for training purposes)
Also, every one gets the same jet, as they are standarized. Here in Spain you begin with a "Pillan" training plane and then when you transition to turbojet planes, you use the Aviojet C-101. But all trainees use the same, they can't choose which aircraft they want to use! (And that applies to every country as far as I know)
Also, in which country is this story set?

I think you mean "ceiling" although I don't know if the altitude limits in a mission are actually called like that.
Also, their reaction was... Unconventional. I might got it wrong but...
First: why they assuemed it could be a forengin UAV? Couldn't it be an allied one to test them? And if so, how did the UAV not appear on the radar?
Second: when Fleefoot makes radio contact, how they react so casually about beeing addressed? I mean, if I was flying with my squadmates and suddenly someone new made radio contact, they would be confussed to say the least, and even more when they find nothing in the radar screen. Also, how is that nobody detected her? Sure, her body is too small for a radar to get a reading, but, the ground station and the pilots are in the same frequency, so everyone listening would have heard Fleefoot as well.
The story is good, but needs some work
PS: So the main character is a pilot trainee for the United States right? Then... How is that he gets to fly the Eurofighter Typhoon? You guys don't have thoose, you have the overpriced winged bathtub AKA F-35 :P
