FrolicMercury

T

Not misanthropic, not horse-hating. Just a story about a man hoping for freedom, and deciding if he got what he wanted, what he needed or what he deserved.

What could someone be fleeing from in order to turn himself into a human guinea pig?

It's my take on the idea of the Conversion Bureau, not focused on the transformation, but in the subject that preceded it and the one that came after it.

Fix:

Did he really expected me to sign something without even reading it?

It even became a routine during those days, until one day I was called earlier than before to the infirmary, told to sin on one of the desk chairs(MISSING COMMA) and to mind my feet.

Fix:

Why not giving them a bit more of space to make their decisions?

“I’ve been considering about it ("considering it" or "thinking about it" Twilight would not mince phrases like this), but the risks seemed too big, truth be told, I have seen many situations that make it harder to trust your species.”

There was nthing else to think, but one last thing to do.

In the last steps I realized my arms were much less capable than how I remembred them when they let me slid and bonk my head on the pottom of the tank, much to the surprise of Twilight.

In my opinion, the story needs another editing pass to clean up phrasing.

Noted and working on it. Truth be told I got a bit fed up with Word's correction marking, even after re-reading I was pretty sure something had gone past my radar. Thanks for pointing out!

7832556 Please consider using LibreOffice instead of Word. Also, Text-to-Speech programs, such as Text-To-Wav, are great self-editing tools that can not only help you discover spelling errors when they are mispronounced but also help you get a feel for how your audience will experience your story as you become the audience.
