Loving this story, but I think it is a good one to keep short. There are far too many stories with displaced ponies which just drag on and on. I think this would be best if you evolved Luna and Aaron's relationship into a close, pseudo-sibling friendship, yet let Luna get sent home after about a month, at most. If you wanted to continue it past that point, you could write a series of one-shots with Luna visiting at later points in Aaron's life. Right now it is charming, but dragging it out will detract from that charm.
