SuperPinkBrony12

I'm a brony and a Pinkie Pie fan but I like all of the mane six, as well as Spike. I hope to provide some entertaining and interesting fanfics for the Brony community.

One day after talking with Starlight, Spike begins to glow most unusually. He quickly realizes that this is the call of the dragon lord, and that means he is needed in the dragon lands again.

Not willing to send the dragon off on his own, Twilight decides have to Starlight go with him, hoping the change of scenery will help her student get over her recent failure to redeem Queen Chrysalis.

But upon arriving in the dragon lands, Spike and Starlight discover that Dragon Lady Ember is facing a challenge to her authority in the form of Garble, and the possibility of war looms overhead. To make matters worse, Starlight doesn't see how she'll be of any help.

After all, if Starlight couldn't redeem Queen Chrysalis, how is she supposed to help a species she knows nothing about? Will Spike and Starlight be able to help, or will it be up to Spike alone to save the day?

I love the new ember and dragons character pictures that only just got added recently! :'D

Finally! ;)

Also, I can't wait to have enough time to read your awesome story! :)

Hey there. Thanks very much for getting this one-shot up. I really appreciate you going to the effort. The exchanges, emotional content, references and wrap-up were all well done in all the right places. This reminded me, in a good way, of one of the better-written issues of the "Friends Forever" comic, in that it put two characters in the spotlight at the same time, focused predominantly on character development and it had a serious conflict that was still resolved non-violently. At any rate, I'll definitely be looking forward to more of your work as soon as time and inspiration will allow.

Awesome story

Ember was almost planning a last resort.

Spike and Starlight did their best to make their points known to the dragons, and Ember did her best to smooth over any difficulties the two faced. Eventually, the time came for the all important vote.

You're just gonna skip over that important bit? I'm guessing you're not an avid Star Trek fan.

7878847 Exactly what do you mean by that? Just wondering.

7878866 The most interesting part of this story would have been speeches and debates about the benefits and losses to the dragons by going to war. That's mostly what Star Trek is. Spike and Starlight's arguments were for the dragons, but not the reader.

7878866 They have a character tag for Garble now too.

Thought Starlight would snap some sense into Garble over how it read.

Only Garble himself thought that he would be a good Dragon Lord which again indicates he doesn't really have a strong grasp on reality and constantly overestimates himself.

XD that last line though is so very true!!!

I enjoyed the story very much and yes spike and starlight do make a good team and

A long read, but worth it. :twistnerd:

Starlight could see a lot of her old self in the ex-queen, including that desire for power and a belief that she alone knew what was best. And if she could not redeem someone who embodied those traits she'd vowed never to embrace again, what did that say for the pale pinkish-purple coated unicorn herself?

Those qualities are kinda very non-specific: Celestia, Luna and Cadance (and probably any ruler in the show) fit just as well.

Starlight, you made an honest attempt to reach out to Chrysalis, and there's nothing more you could've done.

A teeny-tiny bit of mind control?

"Same here," Ember replied, as she and Starlight shook claw and hoof respectively. "But why exactly have you come? I wasn't expecting anypony to show up."
