Forget not that I am a derp.

Timber Spruce thinks his sister's gone insane.

As luck would have it, a neutral third party is on the way.

Cult of the Bacon Horse Strikes Again!

Earlier today, several server farms were overwhelmed by incoming monetary offers to Bacon Horse, film at 11. Yes, we know this is a newspaper.

Wait hold on

YOU have less followers then ME?! WHAT?! WHAT?!?! WHAAAAAAT?!?!?!?!??!?!?!

"I made a mistake, and I've learned from it," said Bacon Horse when asked to comment on her cult's recent cyberattacks. "Also, my name is Sunset Shimmer. I don't call you Lemon Ape."

I was a niche author for a long time, what with all of the crossovers. I didn't really catch on until Mandatory Fun, and that was mid-2014. Also, I have put out fewer stories than you, so there's that.

I can't help but feel that giving Gloriosa more responsibility over world-changing magics might not be a great idea in the long run, but it saves the camp so it's a tradeoff.

Congrats on the impending four digits :moustache:

Can I be proud and jealous at the same time? Because I think I'm currently proud and jealous at the same time.

"That's because my name is Lemon Apercot!" :twilightoops:

That's not exactly taken care off

taken care of

A fun little story.

HAPPY ONE THOUSAND FOLLOWERS!

Who else loves feeling inadequate for petty and childish reasons?

An amusing way to take care that little problem before it gets started.

Also, for those of us who aren't 100% caught up on the Oversaturated stories, where might this "Quetzalcoatl Incident," be found?

7800945
It hasn't been written yet, merely referenced.

Gloriosa smiled at him like he was seven and patted his shoulder. "Relax, I got this."

*Eye twitch*

"Is... is that."

That's supposed to be a question, no?

***

Crowdfunding! ... I hope Gloriosa can use electro-tech at some point... Or find some biotech? ... Talking to Crystal Stump! Lol! :rainbowlaugh:

"I got this" x [a lot] :rainbowlaugh:

Party Magic is Pinkie's thing. Alright. :pinkiehappy:

Hmm... The chapter title could work to be about Timber getting a haircut?

"Quetzalcoatl Incident,"

Somewhere in https://www.fimfiction.net/story/323071/group-precipitation

I don't think it's ever been written, it's Noodle Incident-ish?

Huh, didn't expect them to show up again after that time Sunset had to deal with that monster that showed up at their place. Wonder how that crystal stump relates to the whole harmony thing (Sunset is already handling almost everything).

Ha, the Interwebs. Wonder if she has one of those old brick cell phones. Yeah, Sunset had better keep a close eye on them though, given Gloriosa and (too much) magic probably don't mix well.

7800962 Falser words than "I got this" have never been spoken.

7801901 I think that scene was declared non-canon, mostly because of the zombies coming to life due to people believing in them.

I've been really busy with Christmas and end-of-year preparations, so I just now got around to finishing this fanfic.

Gloriosa put on a smile so big it looked almost painful.
...
"Yup!" said Gloriosa, putting an arm around Timber in something between sibling camaraderie and a chokehold.

Those lines perfectly capture Gloriosa's cheerful mania.

I always thought that Timber would be the more technically savvy of the two siblings, but I didn't think Gloriosa was so clueless that she didn't know about crowdfunding. Then again, she'd probably prefer to live totally off the grid if she could.

How long will it be before Gloriosa starts arguing with the Stump of Harmony? I'd give her about a week. Still, at least this way they can save the camp without Gloriosa going on a magically-enhanced rampage. I just hope that she can resist the temptation to play around with the crystals, or that no one else finds out about them and tries to steal them.

Did the Stump come from Equestria, or is this the EG-verse producing a reflection of Equestrian magic? The latter would make more sense if Sunset couldn't detect it right away.

I was stuck with what role Sunset's super geode would play, too. What do you do with a character who is nearly omnipotent?

Given the huge outpouring of support we saw in canon, I had to wonder why the siblings were in dire straits to begin with. Ineffective self-marketing seemed like the best answer.

How long will it be before Gloriosa starts arguing with the Stump of Harmony? I'd give her about a week.

:rainbowlaugh: Probably, yeah. As for resisting the temptation, Gloriosa's doing someone a favor. I don't think her sense of duty will let her mess with the crystals any time soon. Of course, keeping others out might be a bit more tricky, but there may be a subtle suggestion about the mouth of the cave.

I'm positing that it came from Equestria, sent through a soft spot in spacetime. Sunset didn't detect it right away because she'd never thought to look, being kind of busy at the time.

I was stuck with what role Sunset's super geode would play, too. What do you do with a character who is nearly omnipotent?

All the more reason I wanted it kept out of play.

Glad you enjoyed this!

As for resisting the temptation, Gloriosa's doing someone a favor. I don't think her sense of duty will let her mess with the crystals any time soon.

That's a good point. Gloriosa may be emotionally unstable, but she's a good person at heart, and a lot of pressure has been lifted off her, so the temptation to use the geodes wouldn't be nearly as strong.

"That feels rather excessive."

...

Sure. The line has to be drawn somewhere, right? Apparently the line rests somewhere beyond "Literal godhood" and somewhere before "Ability to read specific memories of a person while touching them."

:pinkiecrazy:

Unless you are talking about the others. In which case the amulets are obsolete. Unless they give the others another power boost. Honestly if they have the job of solving problems even god can't handle, they are going to need it.

With Sunset, even if it does amplify her powers... I just don't know what she can't do right now.

7860587
Neither does she; that's part of the problem. Taking the amulet now wouldn't be gilding the lily, it'd be taking an already heavily gilded lily, encasing it in antimatter, and using it to beat a hole in the space-time continuum. Naturally, Sunset wants no part of it.

7860696
Well when you put it like that, now I wanna see it.

7860696 But sometimes that's the fun part in solving a magical reality altering problem!

After some deliberation, Timber said, "So... the quasigod responsible for holding the world together is yelling at a crystal stump."
"That's completely irrelevant and you know it!"
"And I'm not sure if she's winning the argument," he added.

:rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh:

While I was reading this and Gloriosa's smile kept getting more and more....more.....I had a moment where I was, like, "After six seasons and seven years of Pinkie Pie, I know what smiles look like and that's. Not. A. Smile :twilightoops: "

I'm fairly certain, somewhere in the Multiverse, a pink party pony just sneezed.

I must say thank you for not protraying timber as a complete sleezeball I read too many pics where they protray him as that.

What do you call a University student who seems quite comfortable hitting on a girl who’s physically about sixteen and emotionally maybe eleven?

Compared to the complete re-do with additional characterisation and setting changes that Friendship Games got, this version of Legend of Everfree seems rather understated in comparison, but I suppose it makes sense for the alterations Sunset and the world went through. I'm curious to see what you've done with Wallflower Blush now, as I haven't gotten to that one yet.

"Oh, these old things?" The way Gloriosa looked down at the necklace might have seemed casual if the following laugh didn't make the hairs on the back of Timber's neck stand up. "If they're magical, that's news to me! So, any activities come to mind for next week?"

She's so not ready for what trouble those geodes will bring her. :ajbemused:

Gloriosa opened her mouth, but shut it again and said nothing, wiping her eyes.

The truth hurts gloriosa, but it's for the better. :fluttershysad:

"I thought you were making it up."

:facehoof:

Sunset winced. "That's... admittedly possible. I brought it up because one of my friends suggested I make a Benefacteor account after a few episodes of my blog series. The next day, they closed my account and very politely asked me not to do it again. I... may have crashed FundFriend's servers."

https://m.

Gloriosa sighed and slipped off her necklace. She staggered. Timber steadied her as she found her footing again. "Whoa. That's... whoa."

That's a relief. :twilightsheepish:

"Looking back..." Gloriosa shook her head. "No, not really."

Glad to know she admits it. :ajsmug:
