But I felt like if I were going to tell this story, and with how I'm setting up Fluttershy's character, this just makes the most sense.
7786860 Oh, I wasn't complaining. Fluttershy is probably an excellent example of a switch, if I understand my terminology correctly. She chooses to be submissive, but she has an extremely dominant side that she only rarely allows out for emergencies, when she is very angry, or when she's misled into believing that being assertive means acting like a jackass to everypony.

I'm not ashamed to admit that in this story (as in my other story that I need to return to that's also mature and BDSM related) Rarity is a bit of a self insert for me.

Double post, sorry. Rarity's folks don't have Brooklyn accents. They sound like they're from somewhere around Wisconsin or Upper Michigan.
I don't think there was anything technical wrong with it, but it seemed mostly generic: we could drop SciTwi in for Fluttershy and... well, anyone else besides Fluttershy, SciTwi or Coco Pommel for Rarity and there'd be nothing different. I imagined something for their initial time where they are in Fluttershy's bedroom (dispose of Zephyr however necessary for the plot):
Fluttershy carefully locks the door as they enter her bedroom. "I, well, I read the books you let me borrow, Rarity, and I-I think I know how to give this a try. I..I know how to take care of lots of critters at the shelter, so, maybe we can pretend you're one of those?"
Rarity smiles to her, "Pet play sounds interesting, honey. We should, of course, have safewords, perhaps the standard red yellow and green? Assuming you did read the books thoroughly."
Fluttershy ahs softly, "That, um, that is nice, except can we make the red safeword 'parrot'? I promise that I'll be... as gentle as I am with all my real pets. We can... do some of the other things when I'm more, um, confident?"
Rarity giggles, "That's fine darling, but why 'parrot'?"
"It's because, um, it's the only kind of animal I don't want you to play, one that can talk. I don't think... I could be in my character if you did."
"Well, in that case, I shall choose to be a cat, since I know all about how she can be, both good and bad!"
Fluttershy holds the collar, "But, but first there is something I want to ask. N-not with the collar. Would you please take your clothes off? None of my critters have any, you see, and I think I could get... in my zone that way."
Rarity touches the collar in Fluttershy's hand and grins to her, "Well, with that off, there is one condition." She lifts her arms in the air, "You will undress me!" Fluttershy nods and removes her blouse and skirt first, then asks, "If, if you don't want to..?" Rarity turns her back toward Fluttershy and guides her hands to the bra strap wordlessly and smiles over her shoulder.
After Fluttershy slides Rarity's panties off as well, she takes a seat on the edge of her bed and pats the bed beside her, "Then please lie down here Rae-Rae -- that'll be your kitty name -- and rest your head in my lap." As Rarity gets into position, Fluttershy slides the collar on her in her lap and strokes a hand through her hair. Fluttershy's body relaxes as she smiles down while Rarity playfully rubs her head back against Fluttershy's hand and she starts talking in a more confident voice.
"Rae-Rae, you won't believe what happened last week! My girlfriend Rarity, remember her?, she asked me on a date tonight to go to see a movie with her!" Fluttershy's fingers stroke behind Rarity's left ear gently and she responds with a rrr. "But you know what's even stranger? She asked me, of all people, to be what's called a 'dom'! That's right, the most beautiful girl in Canterlot High wants me to tell her what to do!" Fluttershy's hand traces down Rarity's porcelain-white back to rest on her hip, and Rarity giggles softly and tries to arch her back like Opal might do on one of her 'good' days.
Fluttershy looks up to the clock on the wall, then she carefully cups both hands under Rarity's head, sliding out from under her and sliding over to her closet. She nonchalantly slips off her own school top and skirt, and pulls a different pair out, pressing the clothes against her chest, "Rae-Rae, this looks a little plain, but do you think it'll look fine to go to the movie?" She hooks the clothes over a chair and pulls out the Crystal Ball dress and presses that against her, "This one makes me look almost as gorgeous as her, but... it's probably too much." She puts that back up, then pulls off an empty hangar, slipping her bra and panties off then. "Of course a couple of days ago, Rarity made this one. See the zipper on the side? It fits so tight you can't wear anything at all underneath. I'd feel as sexy as her with this on..."

1 minute fluttershy is like:
"O-oh I uh don't think I c-can do I-it."
The next she is like:
"YOU FUCKING WHORE BITCH GET DOWN ON YOUR HANDS AND KNEES AND SUCK MY TOES I AM YOUR GOD AND I OWN THE VERY AIR IN YOUR LUNGS"

I liked it.
Fluttershy is written well with hesitant-inexperienced-fascination of Rarity's body and all the potential things she can do with her.
Sapphire Valley, don't be nervous, just take a deep breath when you're writing these scenes, play out What you want in your head, and let it flow out into text, then clean-up edit afterwards.
If these first two chapters are anything to expect for later updates, you got little to worry about.

It was written well enough, but to be honest, a little to much was pushed into the chapter.
Fluttershy having religious parents, Rarity 's parents being conviniently opposite and Fluttershy going from 0-100 as a dom... Now, I’m not saying it’s impossible or that it can’t work but you don’t really sell it to me. For the future, some more build - up would be nice, and a slight less all-in first session. Remember the rule of sex:first time usually sucks. But one thing I think you should change: Rarity studder awfully much. I think you need to adress that, either that she's also nervous or that it’s part of her fantasy.

In terms of Fluttershy going from 0 to 100, it's a combination of A) the adrenaline of the scene, and B) Fluttershy's own personal issues (like I said, they will be addressed in the story).
