Um, a small suggestion...you wrote that Discord was going to "kill" Soarin. But Fluttershy would not care for Discord the way she does if he would do something so brutal and cold. He makes a lot of terrible decisions and he can be a total jerk and a pain in the butt, but murder doesn't fit him. A lot of people, I think, make this mistake with him. His powers could EASILY kill things. And yet, in the S5 finale, when Twilight sees a universe where Discord wins, what is Discord doing? Chasing Celestia and Luna in silly costumes while wearing an exaggerated king's costume.
He's a jerk, but he's comical, silly, and has a deep need of approval he refuses to show. He's not really a killer. He doesn't mean to, anyway. So I suggest modifying that one sentence. It's a small thing, I know, but it implies something about Discord's character that just doesn't ring true. And I feel like you see him in a way that could agree with me?

Just two details is missing or out of place here.
How does Fluttershy know that it's Soarin Discord saw her with since she didn't see him spot them in town.
And the ending is to easy cut off, like they just had a fight and they both are heartbroken at this point, but hot chocolate fits everything.
That's the only two things I see could need a little work, but besides that, then I still likes the story for now.
