The Forge, a fiery pit that contains most of the world's light energy. After all the magical energy entered the world, The Forge opened up and released its energy. The energy condensed into crystals that scattered around Canterlot. To find the crystals, people have to do good deeds, and the crystals will be bound to them.
A group of new students help out some of the hardest hit people at Canterlot High. The crystals become bound to them and they are given powers to save the day from The Anti-Crystal.
They are the Power Rangers: Light Force.

Well this happened over the coarse of a full school year. The only two not boyfriend girlfriend are Show Time and Trixie.
7750090 Actually I would have gone with something like Sol Charge (Sol- another word for the Sun). Even then, Force and Charge are so overused right now. I'm glad they're finally going to a new kind of name in the next season, Ninja Steel. So maybe even something like "Power Rangers: Harmonious Guardians of Sol (The Sun/Light)"
It's okay, but it's too Neo-Saban-ish. Don't be afraid to take risks, don't make the battles so choppy and spread the characters out a bit. We don't know much about them yet and that can either be a good thing or a bad thing. I have a similar route I'm taking for my Power Rangers Megaligo series, but it's important to have characters stand out without them seeming too cliche. Think of Koda in Dino-Charge or even Kendall and Keeper. Then go back and view past series like Dino-Thunder and see how they portrayed Tommy after his life of being the Green to White to Red Rangers and then what he did after. Then go to other series like in Space, Lost Galaxy, Time Force, Lightspeed Rescue and RPM and just watch the way the characters were introduced one by one without rushed forcefulness.
Character development is very important and cannot be rushed which is what Megaforce did and Samurai had fault with also.
This is off to a promising start. If you need help coming up with a Megazord or upgrade names, I'm your guy!
