The Only Chapter

"Thanks for letting me stay at your place for the night Rainbow Dash." Scootaloo said as she unpacks her sleeping bag.

"Heh, no problem squirt." Rainbow Dash said with a smile. "Are you sure your friends aren't coming to join us?"

"Nope, Apple Bloom is to busy helping Applejack setting up the scary maze they are going to be holding in Sweet Apple Acres, and Sweetie Belle is busy making her costume for tomorrow." she said as she takes out her pillow from her saddle bag.

"Well in that case, I guess it's just you and me then bud!" said Rainbow Dash smiling. "Just the two of us!" As they finally settled onto the floor, Rainbow Dash couldn't help but notice something odd about Scootaloo.

"Hey Scoots, are you okay?" she asked worriedly.

"Of course I'm okay Rainbow Dash, why do you ask?" she said smiling at her idol.

"I don't know. I couldn't help but notice something." she said as she examines the young filly.

"Oh come on Rainbow Dash, I'm sure it's nothing." Scootaloo said giving Rainbow Dash a smile. Rainbow Dash was about to say something, but decided to drop the whole thing.

"Well alright then." she said ruffling Scootaloo's mane. "So, what do you want to do first?"

It took Scootaloo a moment to thing before an idea popped out of her head. "I got an idea, how about we tell scary stories!"

Before she would say anything else, Rainbow Dash started to giggle softly at the young pegasus.

"What?" asked Scootaloo with a confused look on her face.

"Are you sure you want to share scary stories Scoots, after what happened last time!" she said before laughing. Scootaloo couldn't help but pout angrily at Rainbow Dash. She remembered clearly of what happened before. Convincing her friends to go on a camping trip in order to impress Rainbow Dash only to then be terrified of a old tale that she shared with the group that caused her to insanely crazy.

"Horseapples! Of course she would remember that. she thought. Yet it's not going to compare the story she wants to share with Rainbow.

"Don't worry Rainbow Dash I can handle it. Because this time, I'm going to be saying it." she said with a devious smile on her lips.

"Oh really, how scary is it?" asked Rainbow Dash in a sarcastic tone. "What's it called?"

"Have you ever heard the tale of the Rainbow Factory!" Scootaloo said rising her hooves up. The moment those two words left her mouth, Rainbow Dash could have sworn her heart stopped for a second before resuming beating inside her chest.

"W-Where did y-you heard of t-that Scootaloo?" she asked sweat pouring down her forhead. Scootaloo could only giggle softly at the older mare before looking at her.

"Well duh, everypony knows the story Rainbow." she said.

"But Scoots, you know that's just a rumor right?"

"Of course it is a rumor Rainbow Dash, but with small evidence that have been discovered, all of Equestria will know the truth!"

Rainbow Dash couldn't believe what she's hearing. This wasn't the first time somepony would tell her about the Rainbow Factory. For centuries, there have been reports of missing of pegasi who would disappear with out a trace.

"Rainbow Dash, are you okay?" Scootaloo asked.

Snapping out of her trance, Rainbow Dash quickly shook her head before looking down at the orange filly.

"Uh y-yeah I'm Scoots." she said hiding her gaze away from her.

"Oh, well alright. So do you wanna hear the story!?"

"Yeah sure, go on ahead Scoots." Rainbow Dash said as she wipes the sweat that is now forming above her forehead.

"I can't let her find out. Otherwise everypony would know the truth."

Scootaloo then cleard her throat before beginning her story.

"Becoming an employee in the upper Rainbow Factory means sacrificing any life outside those black walls. Workers are sworn to secrecy, forbidding from leaving, living among the factory itself. Those who made it out alive were twisted and disturbed. To damage to ever bring themselves to talk. Theories have been proposed from dark magic from captured unicorns, chemical and environmental technology that no sain pony would tolerate. And even to those who have discovered, the one in charge of the facility, the Overmare, who is the one responsible for the deaths of those who are considered worthless to the pegasi race....."

As Scootaloo continues sharing her story, Rainbow Dash was having a hard time breathing. A ton of questions were flowing around her head. "What will happen if she finds out? What will she'll think of me? Oh sweet Celestia please don't let her find out!"

"Rainbow Dash?" Rainbow Dash once again looked down to see Scootaloo looking at her this time with a concerned look. "Are you all right?"

"Uh y-yeah I'm alright Scoots, why do you ask?" she said with a fake giggle.

"Well you look pretty worried about something."

"I uh..... listen Scoots, before you ask anything, do you know who is the Overmare?" It took Scootaloo a minute to figure out Rainbow's question.

"From what I've heard, some ponies believe the Overmare is a mare." she said. Rainbow Dash was now starting to feel dizzy.

"I see.. so do you know anything else?" she asked looking at the young filly with her eyes filled with suspicion.

"Uh no, that's all I know." Scootaloo said with a confused look. "Rainbow Dash is everything okay?"
"You know what, why don't we just drop the whole thing and gets some shut eyes." she said smiling not wanting this to continue any longer.

"What, but it still early-" Scootaloo said before being cut off by Rainbow's hoof.

"I know but we have to be bright early tomorrow to set up more of the decorations for Nightmare Night." she said. Scootaloo couldn't help but feel that Rainbow Dash is acting weird. Is she hiding something from her? What is it that she's not telling me?

"Well alright Rainbow Dash." she said setting up her sleeping bag. Rainbow Dash then got up from the floor and starting making her way to her bed gently turning off the lamp next to her.

"Goodnight Scootaloo." she said giving the young filly a warm smile.

"Goodnight Rainbow Dash." she said closing her eyes before going to sleep.

As Rainbow Dash got comfortable, she then turned her head away from Scootaloo before looking up at the ceiling. Her mind is still filled with a ton of questions and explanations. She secretly is the one in charge and the head of the Rainbiw Factory. For fifteen years, she has kept her true identity a secret that nopony knows who she truly is. Not only that but she is the one responsible for the ponies who have been reportedly missing for the past several years. Never has there been anypony who would try to find out the true horrors of the factory. Yet at the same time, she feels guilty for everything she has done on wanting to make the pegasi race better. She has an oath that no matter what she does, she will do what is necessary to make Equestria better. Even if it means sacrificing a few ponies for rainbows.

Not wanting to think about it anymore, she then turned her head around looking at Scootaloo who is fast asleep. She smiled softly before closing her eyes.

"No I ne must find. No one must know who I'm truly am. I will do everything in my power to do what is necessary for making us pegasi victorious and great again."

"Long live the Rainbow Factory."

*Sigh* Forgive me if this came out poorly. I couldn't come up with anything and I had no choice but to type this out. But I promise try next story will be a fun one. And in case if you are confused about the story, it takes place before, but during the Rainbow Factory timeline. Hope y'all enjoy reading this and be sure to comment and let me know what y'all think!

This was suppose to be a Halloween story that I started working last month. However, I have been dealing with depression during that time and I decided to cancel the entire story. Also, I apologize for not releasing this soon. My computer was once again hacked and I completely lost everything that I was typing. So forgive me is it's a little late.

I was afraid this was just going to be Rainbow Factory happening or something... Damn, I barely recovered from that when I read it - and I didn't even read the whole thing! I'm not one for horror stories... I stopped Cupcakes at the first five paragraphs. But anyways, this was so much better than I thought it'd be, I hope you eventually continue this - it could be a whole arc off of this!

Then, Rainbow awoke to find herself in her room, but it was still dark, and Scootaloo was gone. "Scootaloo? Are you there?" She asked. 'Must've left? But... That makes no sense.'

Rainbow She heard a heavily accented voice call out in an echoey tone.

"Who's there!?" She yelled. "I'm not scared of you!"

Of course you shouldn't be. I mean you no harm

"Okay? Then show yourself!" She demanded.

Then follow my voice It said as she felt it get further away.

"Okay, you asked for it!" She yelled as she sprang from the bed, and galloped after it. Until she came to her mirror. But when she looked in it, all she saw was that her mane was a mess. "Is this some kind of joke?"

Why don't you look again?

"Okay- But when she saw her reflection, she realized that it looked sort of like her. But was wearing a double-breasted uniform jacket, with a green shirt/black tie underneath, and a general's hat, with what looked like pants and boots on her hind legs. As for her mane and tail, it was darker shades of red, orange, yellow, and was jet black at the back where her blue, purple, and green we're supposed to be. "WHAT HAPPENED TO MY MANE!? AND WHEN DID I GET THIS STUPID UNIFORM!?" She yelled. Until she looked down and saw she was wearing no such uniform, with her mane the same as it always was. "Phew," She said to herself until she realized her reflection didn't follow her. "WHAT THE HECK!? She yelled in shock. "That's not p-possible, is it?" She asked herself.

Yes it is comrade Said her reflection.

"Oh, goo- Then she realized it just talked. " Wait! You can talk!?" She asked.

Yes, I can. But enough of that, I came here to see you

"Y-you did? Who, are you anyway?" She asked as she moved around to get a better angle on her. And her reflection just followed her gaze.

My apologies comrade, I am Soviet Malashenka, formally known as...

"Yes?" Asked Rainbow with curiosity clear in her voice.

Rainbow Dash It said while it flashed its fangs and crimson red eyes.

"B-but how could you be me? You look nothing like me!?" She yelled, knowing that wasn't completely true.

Now now comrade, I think it would be best if I just showed you Said the reflection as it lept out of the mirror and pulled her inside.
