Like, I kinda thought the first scene was building to something, but nothing much comes of it, save the broken or disused home, which doesn't suggest anything by itself.

I also had a strangely difficult time reading this, so it could just be me. c.c

This story was sort-of meant to be an experiment in 'retroactive storytelling', i.e. suggesting elements of a greater plot that had already occurred without actually going over them explicitly.

As you can tell, it wasn't a particularly successful experiment.
