I'm so used to read fics where AJ's parents died mashed under a tree (or due parturition) that this version caught me off-guard.
Then, I read how AJ dies.

It ain't her fault that the tree fell on her.

Now, I know that this is supposed to be sad (and it is). Still, I can't help but find this ironic.
But don't worry, your story is perfectly fine. It's just that I'm a horrible horse.

I don't really like how you had AJ's parents die, as I like to think of them as adventurers off exploring the unknown regions. Whether they have died or not usually depends on my mood at the time.

Also, Applejack's death is amazing .
