Scout Charger

Yeah, I'm sort of crazy, but most of the time I'm the good sort of crazy, you know, the laughing one, not the other one with satanic rituals and that stuff, that's only on mondays.

Equestria will endure indeed... and perhaps... perhaps some day, once the end times pass and should they weather the storm, they may return to this place and reclaim it from the shattered remains of the daemon hoards...

It’s a boon to speak your mind freely. It can lead to new perspectives on old topics and-

HERESY! ::BLAM::

Interesting story, I'm only a little familiar with Eldar lore so this is a nice read. So Ponies are a sort of psyker mutation of Eldar? Or more like the Human / Jokaero relationship?

Also, are the mane 6 also unaging like the princesses? Or have they taken the names of the ancient heroes these weapons were made for?

Emperor protect us. Are they Aspect names? Aspect of Pinkie would be terrifying. We need to call down exterminatus on the rogue craftworld for the good of reality.

Inquiring minds need to know.

Also, you make me want to start a space elf army. Hope the painting is going well.

Maybe they will build a new and better Empire than the old Eldar ever could? :raritywink:

All Eldar are Psykers, the Ponies however are realtively powerful ono average, even by Eldar standards. Which may be the reason why they are mutated. They where originally Eldar, but at some point they developed a smooth, colorful fur. It is somewhat explained in the prequel, Celestias Garden. Main point is that the other Eldar don't see them as eldar anymore, but are not actively hostile towards them.

The mane 6 are not unaging, they are very much mortal. And they sort of named the weapons after the first ones to wield them. In fact, the mane 6 are the Eldar Phoniex lords in this story. Or at least they will be if I ever come around to writing about them. :twilightblush:
Pinkie Pie for example is the Phoenix Lord of the Dark Reaper Aspect Warriors.

The painting is on hold right now, because I moved recently and hadn't had the time to set up a proper hobby table to build and paint at, but I think I can resume in a month or so.
IN regards to starting a Space Elf army ... they can be really fun and suprisingly balanced if you don't spam Bikes, D-Flamers and limit yourself to a combined arms detachment. I for example play only Aspect warriors and nobody ever complained that my Eldar were overpowered. Though there is always some whining when Celestia uses her phychic powers the liquify the brain of a Carnifex. :trollestia:

Not mad about your favoring of filthy zenos, just polite ribbing. Last time I faced Eldar... Guy showed up to the game store, looked at my partially complete 1600 point Guard / Inquisition army (no real heavy presence yet) and asked if I could pad it 1850. Then he pulled out some formation that was entirely wave serpents filled with wraithguard, a wraithlord and two wraithknights. I don't think I need to tell you how that went, but It was an experience. Competition lists will always trump narrative for fun lists but I couldn't just spam the same units.

I suppose a designated painting area would beat what I do, just set up on my kitchen table and hope I don't spill anything. Can't wait to see the rest of yours when it done.

Pinkie the Dark Reaper, I had thought maybe a Warp Spider, but cannon also makes sense.

Pinkie would be a Death Jester and you know it.
