Ember has been Dragon Lord for seven years. During that time she has dealt with many problems. Garble was one of them, he wanted to fight Ember for the position of Dragon Lord. He lost and was banished from the Dragon Lands. Later he attacked Dodge Junction and in retaliation Ember sicced former Dragon Lord Flame on him. Garble has not been heard from for two years.

Well this is an interesting story. I'd like to read more of it, though there were quite a few spelling mistakes here and there, other than that, I'd really like to see more of your work.
A few odd things about this story that got to me:
1) Dragon are immune to lava (even their insides are) so it seems odd that Garble would "end" the fight by throwing her in some. He himself has bathed in lava on the show so he should know she wasn't going to die to that. If he wanted to kill her it seems more reasonable that he would crush her head or run her through...
2) Why would the Dragons have an obstacle course/race to determine Dragon Lord (as they did in the show) if you could then just challenge them to a "fair" fight for it after? That seems entirely pointless. The "fighty" Dragons would simply let the smaller smarter dragons win the Gauntlet of Fire, get the Scepter, and then immediately challenge them after for an easy victory.

1) To address the fact that Garble tossed Ember into lava in an attempt to kill her, Dragons do need to breath and seeing as Ember was exhausted from the fight there was a high chance that she would drown in the lava.
2) As for the Gauntlet of Fire, that was the choice of Dragon Lord Torch, he set that up. I do agree with your point: having a course that could be won by a smaller smarter who would then be squished by the more combat oriented dragons is pointless. However, usually there are rules and traditions that have to be followed in order to fight, at this point in time I have not determined exactly what they are. By that I mean that I'm working on making a whole fic dedicated to Dragon Culture and History.

this felt tremendously unsatisfying, and left questions unanswered, nothing was said about what was different about Garble, nothing was expanded upon, there was no actual meat to the story. this feels more like an outline then an actual story.
