Wow. This feels like a scene that they could have actually put in the movie. One that they should have, even. I really loved the way you wrote Timber: he was bratty enough to keep the sibling relationship intact, but he was also mature enough to leave the sense that he earnestly cares for his sister's well-being. There was also some really beautiful imagery here, particularly the sunset. My only complaint is that there's not more. I'd love to see you keep writing these characters.

I loved this story, I feel like this would have been a scene in the movie

Excellent characterization here. I like how you had Gloriosa remember at least some of what she did as Gaia Everfree.

I think Gloriosa might be the most interesting character to come out of EG since Sunset. She's just a normal orphan girl with good intentions who got mixed up in evil magic.

Thank you very much! I'm not sure what else I would write about with these two; this was really the only story that came to mind. Well, that's not entirely true; I did have the beginnings of one other idea, but it would be another medium-length story at least, and I wanna finish up some of my ongoing works before starting any new ones. I sort of already broke my promise to myself just to write this oneshot, :twilightblush:

Thanks, guys and gals; I'm glad you all enjoyed it!

Gloriosa certainly has a lot of potential, most of which stems from the gaps in what we know about her, but I think the dynamic she has with Timber adds some much-needed depth. Her interactions with everyone else were usually showing us the extremes of her personality, so trying to piece together what she might be like on a 'normal' day is an interesting challenge, :twistnerd:

Aw, I really love this story. And Gloriosa is definitely my favorite character throughout the movie.

"Twilight may not look it, but she sure knows how to cut a rug,”

Ah, irony.

Thanks; glad you like it! :pinkiehappy:

I figure if something like Archery is a requirement at Crystal Prep, a mandatory course in Ballroom Dancing isn't that far of a stretch.

After all...

**does his best Abacus Cinch impression**

"... as one of the world's top private schools, Crystal Prep must maintain it's reputation of producing well-mannered and cultured young men and women in addition to maintaining our usual standard of academic and athletic excellence."

...Yeah, I totally read that in her voice.

You are pretty good at that.

Doesn't quite mesh flawlessly with my take (:derpytongue2:), but I still enjoyed it a lot and I imagine it logically following from my bit of headcanon. Great work.

Solid. :D

Ooh, this was nice. Of everything in LoE, I think the sibling relationship has a lot of potential for good fanfiction. I've been toying with writing since stuff about these two myself, though I really need to write about actual ponies for once instead of skittle bitches.

Glad you enjoyed it! I actually thought we took very different routes with regard to Gloriosa's mental state; I was going for more of a 'as angry as I was, it was still "me" in control' angle, whereas your Gloriosa was batshit crazy by the end, :pinkiecrazy:

I'd be curious to hear your take on Gloriosa's perspective of the aftermath, since we only got to see Sunset and Twilight's side of things post-Gaia Everfree.

Then again, I'm not really much for dark stuff; maybe it's better if I don't ask? :raritydespair:

Solid. :D

I choose to hear this in the deep, basso profondo voice of Keith David,

Right? Right? I haven't had a good idea for an actual pony story since the whole 'Tremares' thing; everything in my brain just keeps coming up hoo-mans! :applejackconfused:

This was a cute and fun story.
...however, I'd have liked it if Gloriosa'd had it in her to tease Timber Spruce about Twilight 'being a little young for him'. I mean, she's in High School, after all...and pretty sure if he's an assistant camp manager - or manager - he's not.

Eeeeeeehhhhhh I don't really buy into the whole 'Timber is way older' thing. Nothing from the film directly supports it, and the only justifications I've seen so far are all based on real-world scenarios... which you'd think by now we would've learned to apply sparingly to anything MLP-related, :derpytongue2:

Plus do we honestly think that the filmmakers intended Timber to be that much older than Sci-Twi? Pretty sure if we hit up Ishi Rudell's twitter he'll tell us that Timber's supposed to be 'around the same age as the main cast,' or something along those lines.

Glad you enjoyed the story, tho,

Yep, me too. Love that show.

That horror you feel, Gloriosa? Keep a hold of that and remember it. So long as you remember how sickened you are by the thought of the violence that a part of you was ready to dish out, the better you will be able to resist it in the future.

I agree. The biggest 'failing' the EQ movies have is the lack of follow up. This a great epilogue, and nicely allows for growth past the monsters.
