Wow, this was a really great take on the SciSet/Timber dynamic. It was very well written, and I love how the pauses/scene shifts between the memories were set up. Good job!

Not bad; nicely-paced and emotionally solid,

Meh. Stories like this don't have any real impact on me; pairing off real against fake shippings will always fall flat because fake shippings have no real strength to them, especially if they're rushed oneshots like this.

Nicely done. Not quite sure yet how I feel about Timber and Twilight, but with stories like these they're definitely growing on me.

Sunset and Twilight working things out more or less amicably was good to see as well. It feels like an exchange that's very natural for their characters in both the present and the past.

I like it. I will probably never ship Timber and Sci-Twi but it was well written and a lot less drama than I'd thought there'd be in this type of situation

But playing ships against each other isn't the point of the story at all.

Sadly, good people don't always make good decisions. Twilight made a bad one, that almost ruined her friendship, but it is good to see Sunset fighting herself to keep her friend.

Both of these ships feel a little odd to me. Timber (at least casual observation of him in the show) seems like a bit of a sleeze. Sunset, on the show, was a fully adult mare before going to the EqG world, meaning her first relationship (with Flash) was with someone way under her mental age.

The writing here works around that, thankfully, if it hadn't I wouldn't be able to get to the end. Well done.

Looks good! I know I'm missing parts, but you made it so that no holes were there for somepony to get confused in!

Regarding Timber... Twilight deserves better. :raritywink:

7656046 no problem :raritywink:

I like to see it with flash  although not think much here. :ajsleepy: I think flash is best for her. :pinkiesad2:

Okay, so let me get this out of the way first:

WHEW LAD. THAT WAS A ROLLER COASTER OF EMOTIONS.

ONE JITTERY FEELING TO THE NEXT--MANIA THEN SUDDENLY HEARTBREAK.

WHY MUST YOU DO THIS TO ME

-----
Alright, now that's out of my system...

This is a really cute story, author. I'll admit that the revelation that SS was Twi's ex during the first third of the story was a bit out of the blue, and made me raise my eyebrows a bit, the way you tackled the next scenes made the concept really stick and feel so believable.

To add to that, the dialogue flows smoothly, and feels like something that would come out of the characters' mouths, which really added a new level of engagement that made me jump in my seat.

Overall, this is a short but very good story. Believable, tragic, and something people can relate to. It's a story that really tugs, yanks, and rips at your heartstrings, but makes you yearn for more.

Excellent work.
