First comment, and I've decided to talk about my version of Manifest Harmony's "The ClockTower Society"
First and most obvious, my ponies are anthro.
Secondly, the only Ponyville residents who I know for sure are members are Mr. and Mrs. Cake. Those twin's? The result of spending time as a public cum dumpster in the breeding section.
My universe is open to other writers so if someone wanted to use my anthro universe to write about Lira and Bon Bon, or any other pony's adventures in the society, more power to them. No need to hook into the main story line at all.
It is possible that Cadence and Shining Armor are members. Some of that will be up to the readers. I'm susceptible to bribery.
As to what sort of games they play. The Society does have gender swap capability. So Gleaming Shield is a possibility. But does Cadence go stallion, or do both of them spend time side by side in the public use facility? Or something else completely.
No Flurry. She's an unnecessary complication, though she might be conceived at some point in this story.
None of the Mane Six are members, but Rarity would have received an offer to join if not for the fact that she's a package deal. They'd not be able to get her without her friends coming along for the ride. They are not sure just how Twilight and the rest of her friends might react.
Celestia knew of the Society, but ignored them and pretended ignorance when necessary.
Luna knew nothing about them, and will likely break some pottery when she finds out. It would have made her life way less complicated if she'd known about them a thousand years ago. A whole society of ponies who would have been delighted to 'play' with her.
My society was formed after the fall of the Unicorn Kingdom, and was kept a big secret because any hint at BDSM activity, no matter how consensual would have been censored, hard. The general population experienced a back lash after the debauchery of the Unicorns was ended. any thing that was not vanilla sex drew the ire of the prudes.
While modern Equestria is a bit more accepting the habit of three thousand years is hard to break.
Over the eons the Society has put down various cults that preach total male domination and act on that belief, in a non-consensual way. Think young mares indoctrinated into cults, or kidnapped off the street to never be heard from again.
Some of the leaders of the more devious cults have upon interrogation given up the name. "Caridoon" but just who or what Caridoon is has never been discovered. But it is a name that has shown up now and then over the centuries. There are people in the enforcement arm of the Society who would give left tit, or balls, for solid information and a chance at taking down Caridoon, whoever or whatever it is.
But I'm no intention to cover anything non-consensual in this story arc. If I feel I need to do anything that is dark it will be in a separate story. In fact, I'd just as soon some other writer took care of that stuff. I've spent a lot of time getting this world to the point where I can just indulge myself in writing kinky BDSM fun.
I hope you enjoy the ride, and don't be shy to put forward a wish list, keeping in mind that I'm going to be focusing on the characters who's icons I've included under the story.
Right, because a happily married monogamous relationship is impossible in kink stories, the Cakes, Lyra and Bon Bon, and Shining and Cadance are swingers who fuck everyone BUT their spouses and Mr. Cake isn't the twins real father because fuck fidelity.
And you're dancing with Fall of Equestria territory, brother. Be prepared for serious backlash.

Manifest Harmony told me there's an anthro version of Clocktower Society. But is this a different universe? And is the Society long gone or something in your world's timeline, judging by how Applejack was reading about it in an ancient diary?
I glanced at the previous stories in this series. They're all very....non-consensual, very much against Clocktower Society principles that Manifest Harmony is striving for. I'm surprised she allowed you to use the Society here at all, unless you're writing a war story between the Society and Caridoon in FoE-bashing style. But she obviously approves of your work, enough to draw you cover art for it.
Either way, I came to see more of Clocktower Society so I'll reserve judgement until I see an actual glimpse of the Society. You get a track for now and a like to help you along. Fave later if you present the Society as Manifest Harmony intended it to be - a force against non-consensuality.

7616650 The society has been around for three thousand years, the Journal Applejack looked at was an old one. The Society is still around, and don't worry, I intend to keep to the standards set by Manifest Harmony as far as the Society is concerned.
But that does not mean that there are not elements outside the society who don't believe in consent, and yes, the Society will join forces with Princess Luna to fight against those forces. already have the section written where a member displays contempt and anger for Caridoon, even though she does not know if it is a person or a place. She just knows that over the millenniums the name keeps popping up associated with some of the worst of the worst when it comes to evil secret sex societies.
All that said, right from the moment I conceived of this universe I've been aiming for this particular story arc, where Dusk and his friends undergo 'training' and I'm in no hurry to advance to the conflict stage.
Indeed, I should warn anyone who is following this story that the eventual resolution I foresee will be very anti-climatic. I've already established the plot device that will allow Equestria to win in a cakewalk. Birth Control. Equestria has it, Caridoon wants it.
7616650 Oh, by the way, while I make no excuses for Applejacked having strong non-con themes. It was needed to shake up the status quo, I really tried with the Dusk Shine Rising story to keep things fairly consensual.
Biggest non-con scene would have been the one where Rarity mistook poor Dusk Shine as a vile rapist and tried to give him a taste of his own medicine.
I must say, Manifest Harmony did a great job with the cover art. Though that means, of course, that you'll have to put AJ in a bridle gag at some point..!

Or perhaps it means she can get more in touch with her inner animal (or critter, as it were). Or it's a lingering effect from Twilight Sparkle's spell that became permanent. It would still be surprising if there'd never been a cult that's looked at all the Alicorns so far and thought "hm, I guess mares really are better." Or that's seen the male villains like Sombra and Discord and Tirek and came to believe males shouldn't have any power at all. Or that came into being as backlash to what happened under the Unicorn kings.

Say, Jake, how do you feel about OC and canon ships? One of my absolute favourite kinky fics involving a married couple is a second story HiE fic with Rarity and a human dude. It's got several kinks (pregnancy, feeding, a bit of spanking, interspecies) and the romance between the protagonists is wonderfully written. The author really nailed Rarity, no pun intended.

By the by, since this now is a Clocktower fic with all the strictures placed on those, and you've already expressed disinterest in writing certain scenes happening in Caridoon itself (involving certain Pegasi et al), are you going to hand those over to other writers as well? And if so, would it make more sense if they asked you to publish in their names (seeing as how this is your brainchild) as a separate short story?

One of my problems is that I have way too much material in my head to cover in any reasonable length of time.
I do have someone interested in doing at least part of what happened in Caridoon, but don't make any promises on that front.
I may do some material set in Caridoon, featuring Fluttershy.
If I do any material that does not fit under the Clocktower seal of approval, I will likely publish separately.
I've always said that my universe is open to other writers, and I have no problem with them doing Caridoon centric fics. And they are not restricted to my current time period.
So if someone wanted to do a Daring Do story in which she investigates a ruin in Caridoon, set after the conflict ends, I'd be fine with that.

From what i have observed so far, that's not really what natives are, but they just think it because both Luna and AJ suffered at those unicorns' hands. they'll get quite the shock when they find not all males there are like that. in fact, it could backfire, making everyone think they're like the unicorns, which would go really badly

Well, as I see it, so far you have the world built quite well. a few of the characters just need a bit of fleshing out like dusk, so far his reason for all this began with an experiment and led to just lust for his reason. along with figuring out the caridoon plague of course. also I was wondering what his brother and cadance were up to, I mean, it can't all be about... wait, the queen of fluffy bunnies was a changeling queen right?

Dusk is sort of a victim of his hormones. For whatever reason as Twilight he really didn't have any sex drive, so having to cope with having one that is in overdrive is rather distracting. He is also motivated by the desire to make his friends happy. And Twilight has always had this barely repressed need toward total control over any situation, including the ponies in it.
The Goddess of Fluffy Bunnies was a for real goddess, who was worshiped by, yes, fluffy bunny people.
They came to a bad end at the hands of an evil bear type people, and she used all her 'mana' to create Caridoon as a prison for the Ursine, and any other tribes like them.
She did modify a Changeling Hive to supply guardians for the valley, but their are not a lot of them, and they don't interact much with the population, at least not as changelings.

Great chapter, I can see why at this moment Big Mac doesn't want to get addicted to his sister. But at the same time I hate to say I wanted him to do it. Anyway that wraps up Applejack's reluctance nicely. Hopefully after we get back to Dusk and sort that out, we can find out what happened to Gilda and Rainbow Dash I'm dying to know. I would ask to also know what Spike and his friends are up to now but they are probably still busy for a few days.

7661768 Discord/Eris is too powerful a character to use as anything other than a plot device in my mind. Works best in stand alone stories. Tends to overpower sprawling universe type stories. He changed Fluttershy into a bat pony stallion, and indirectly caused Rainbow Dash and Gilda to chase Fluttershy into Caridoon. His job is done.
I have nothing against Chrsalis making a show if someone wanted to do something with her.
There are Changelings in Caridoon, but they are good guys, sort of. Their job was to moderate the worst impulses of the prisoners by feeding on strong negative emotions.
