7600411 That's what I was planning to have happen. Unfortunately, I feel that it will be difficult to balance the "evil" and positive aspects of her character in this story though.

7600460 Well, it depends on how you interpret her behaviour. I'm partial to the theory that a lot of her evil hamminess during the wedding was caused by her being literally drunk with power due to constantly draining Shining and Cadance, and that she's a bit less cartoony evil normally.
She could still start off as not good, but also not straight out maniacal evil, but maybe having someone to interact with, who doesn't have the preconceptions about her kind due to their looks, could mellow her up a bit. Or he could persuade her over time that more diplomatic relations with other races would benefit her people. If she cares for them, especially if they're literally her children, playing on that would make it easier.
She could never lose her sarcastic nature, though.
