Sequels1

This story is a sequel to Lunaverse: Galaxy Rangers - The Rangers Nevermore?

Now with a reading! Thank you Alchemystudent!

It has been a month since Corvus attacked Ponyville. So far the Tyrant Sun Corona has been silent giving the town some peace and quiet for once. Not that it gives Trixie and the other Galaxy Rangers any peace with the press and fans constantly bothering them ever since their secret identities got revealed.

Even worse is that members of the Night Court have started making moves against the Rangers. Archduke Fisher, Viceroy Night Light, and Duke Greengrass are determined to bring them down and replace them with new Rangers they have created, the Planet Rangers. The Rangers are framed for crimes they didn't commit and now are on the run from the police. Cornered on every side, the Rangers find help from an unexpected source.

A Lunaverse spinoff story.

Thank you Talon and Thorn for prereading this story.

Man, everyone's always gotta be kidnapping Dinky, ain't got no respect.

A sequel?

Glad to see this sequel. I just love how the Lunaverse is now seen in slightly alternate version of itself. Plus it's power ranger style that gives it a double plus to me. :pinkiehappy:

So, judging by the cover, Twilight is either a Galaxy Ranger or a Planet Ranger?

Hmmm so now I wonder whom the rest are going to become Galaxy rangers.

Fisher is going to be foaming at the mouth by the time his team of Planetary Rangers is assembled, since none of them will meet his standards and yet there they'll be, holding morphers and dressed in spandex.

I like Stanza, though. Seems like a good stallion.

7619032

Believe you mean Planetary Rangers or Planet Rangers for short.

7619606

I am curious what you think of the backstory I have created for this universe. Like, for example, suggesting that the Roman/Greek Gods might exist.

7619680
I'm fine with it, and it works for the setting you've made. I wouldn't want it in the main Lunaverse, but that doesn't mean I'm against it here.

That boring elevator music puts me to sleep every time

Do I sense a hidden weakness to exploit later?

A reminder that Snowdrops is the Lunaverse's name for Bulk Biceps.

Actually, it's Snowflake McLargeHuge.

7657622

Is it? Talon told me it was Snowdrops. :facehoof: I am going to have to fix that. Thanks.

7657637
Snowflake McLargeHuge is what we have in the TVTropes, anyway.

7657682

I will just have to go with that then. Besides, most people called him Snowflake before he got his official name anyway.

Well, I hope Fisher and friends like hanging for treason, 'cause I'm pretty sure trying to off a group of individuals vital to national defense counts as treason.

She couldn't wait to show her friends.

I think I know where this is going.

7666699

You're right. Sorry, my bad.

Uh, why is everyone forgetting the fact that Vinyl assaulted the Galaxy Rangers?

Also, I think that monster wasn't one of Corona's. It didn't grow.

I feel like an idiot for just understanding what the title meant.

Did a little minor editing. The story as a whole should look a little better now.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn!

So, when are we gonna get more action with the lost morpher Lemon Hearts picked up?

7730780

Pretty soon. It's going to show up in the next chapter.

She knew a unicorn’s horn would grow back in time.

Ah, okay, fair enough. I was going to comment that Trixie seemed to be taking things far better than I thought she would, but if unicorn horns grow back over time then I can understand her not being nearly as distraught as I would have made her.

I don't think we've set down in the main Lunaverse yet whether or not this is the case...I can go either way.

A unicorn’s horn was just made out of keratin after all, the same as a pony’s hooves.

This I know isn't the case in the Lunaverse, though - it's been described as bone covered by a thin lair of felt or fuzz.

Still, this is a non-canon story, so you can do what you like.

This I know isn't the case in the Lunaverse, though - it's been described as bone covered by a thin lair of felt or fuzz.

I was going to add more, but it didn't work with the flow of the story at the time.

A unicorn's horn does have a small layer of fuzz that grows on their horn. It is the same color as their fur. Since a unicorn's horn never stops growing, most unicorns use a file to wear it down so it doesn't become too long. How long a unicorn keeps their horn depends on their culture and personality. Trixie comes from Canterlot so she likes to keep her horn fashionably short. Stallions usually like to keep their horns longer as a sign of strength and masculinity. Enter your jokes about you-know-what here.

Couldn't get the documents to check out, so they frame her for murder huh?

Can't wait to see what kind of evidence they forged for that one... especially with him having been killed in Canterlot while Trixie was still in Ponyville.

Now if only Twi had gotten a better look at Lemon's new "accessory"...

If there was enogh blood to write TRIXIE then should be a lot of blood around the body. The fact that there isn't should tell them that the body was moved and not under its own power (if that was the case there should be a trail of blood leading to that spot).

Hmmmm Corona seems a little bit less insane then in cannon lunaverse. Interesting were this is going too.

He was in a rock quarry outside Ponyville

Having just chased away an annoying man with a huge hat and scarf who was saying something about reversing the polarity of the neutron flow

Did Rarity tell the police what she told Trixie and Twilight? If she did then they shouldn't have held Trixie. It was quite the painfully obvious frame job. And now Trixie faces the actual murderer.

A defence attorney from another town? "HOLD IT" Is it by any chance Phoenix Wright? :raritywink:

7763202
Eh, I wouldn't say "obviously", though it isn't the most airtight of cases.

This is a lot more violent and murder-driven then I ever would have expected from a Power Rangers/MLP crossover...

7764277
I know, this is surpringly dark by the standards of most Power Rangers series, given Pokey's murder and a conspiracy but government officials to actively get rid of the rangers or bring them under their personal control (I believe Lightspeed Rescue had a plot where the tried to replace the rangers with robots, but the plot was benign if I recall).

Even so, it is still a good and interesting story, most likely for the very things I just mentioned. Because really, when are we going to see things like this in a Power Rangers series?

Night Light is biting off more than he can chew. Luna is going to know that something is up since he is the one making all of the accusations. While the Night Court has the authority to investigate, the zeal with which they, Night Light in particular, do it makes it clear that it's just to satisfy a vendetta against Trixie. Plus, even if Carrot Top did steal from Princess Luna's personal chariot, it would be up to Luna herself to press charges. They should be able to find out from Fisher's men, who have been watching Lyra's house this whole time (but then again, if Night Light is arrested, he's probably going down with him).

Just waiting for someone to outright call these guys Psycho Rangers. Just, seriously.... :facehoof:

7618899
Judging by the title, I'd guess she'd be the White Corvus Galaxy Ranger.

I just realized that each crime that they are accused of doing relates to their Element. Trixie (Magic and Friendship) is accused of murdering a close friend and Carrot Top (Generosity) is accused of theft.

Was this by any chance intentional?

MMMMMMMMMMMMMM Sorry Twi, But I wanna punch your old stallion... oh wait, Carrot beat me to it... ok.... :fluttercry:

An "Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers" crossover? You definitely have my attention. :rainbowdetermined2:

*sees the copyright notice* OH FAUST DAMNIT! :flutterrage:

7890416

Nope, just Power Rangers. I have heard of that show. Is it any good?

...No Phoenix Wright Trial? Awwww....

7890425
No clue. It was just the only Galaxy Rangers that I could remember off the top of my head.

7891044 Well PR did have a Galaxy Ranger team, the Lost Galaxy Rangers.

Oh Night Light is screwed. If his known crimes aren't bad enough we can now add Assault, Attempted Murder & Attempted Regicide to the list. I don't know about you but I can see execution as the only proper punishment for this idiot.

7892840
Yes, that is apparently what these two stories are based on. That said, I haven't followed the Rangers in decades, and I never got around to reading the Lunaverse yet. Which reminds me, I never finished "The Elements of Discord", due to the rewrite. It has been completed for years now, so I should start that one over from the beginning.

7892893 Definitely check out the Lunaverse it's neat. And catch up on PR, there's a lot to cover.

7892893

I would definitely check out the Lunaverse. It is a great universe. My personal favorite is The Jackelope Valley Festival by Froborr. Though. I have made this story accessible so that you can understand what is going on even if you aren't familiar with the Lunaverse.

Methinks that Greengrass and Fisher will try to "take care" of Night Light themselves. If he gets brought in alive, most certainly he's going to drag them down with him

Yeesh, she can never catch a break, can she?
