Malum isn't Discord. In fact, if I were to guess, I'd say that he was a previous Bearer of Magic.
(Although his description makes me think of King Sombra)
The fact that Malum knows of the Elements sentient existence is perhaps the most obvious give away to this. This implies that Malum and Magic have a history together. Twilight is the only other character in the story who knows of the Element of Magic. Not even Luna knows. Because Luna has been subject to the Elements magic, and not know of the Elements sentience, stands to reason that Discord, who has been through similar, wouldn't know of it either.
This story and the previous one... why don't they have more views!? They definitely deserve them.
I am on a phone at the moment, so no review for now, but I can not wait for the next chapter.

I think I can answer this.
Main reason: It has a mature tag with sex and gore. Some people can't handle that which I can understand and when some see the sex and gore, they sometimes assume that there is rape, which I don't write. I may write close to it but never full blown.
It's okay though. The Dark Descent stories are for my first followers, since my first story was Beginning. It's also my way to vent anger so I'm happy that it has it's own little secluded dark corner on FimFic. Let's me write about things that normally wouldn't be accepted.
