Rarity is not an adventurer.
When a mysterious sword falls from the sky, her first thought isn't that fate is calling her to a quest, it's that the sword is a masterpiece. Still, at Spike's prodding, they both go out to seek where the sabre came from, as Spike is worried the fate of Equestria hangs in the balance. All the same, Rarity isn't so much interested in all of that as finding out who made this wonderful work of craftsmanship.
Because Rarity is not an adventurer. She is a designer.
By popular demand, my next story. Thanks to everyone who voted on the survey!
Thanks, as ever, to Falkon for edits and the sweet cover art.
Oh hell yes this is gonna be divine!
I am looking forward to this.

Color me intrigued. I usually wait until the story is complete before reading it, but. . . I think I might make an exception.
Nice start.
I'll keep an eye on this.

I'm loving how Spike is nearly spot on with his remarks.

Plot twist: Rarity and Spike are in a DnD game of the gods. Spike just happens to be unconsiously breaking the 4th wall.

Happily faving the story and waiting for the next installment!
Well this just keeps getting better.
...A trope-aware adventure, and they didn't take Pinkie Pie with them?
In fact, did they even talk to Pinkie Pie about this?
Seriously, Pinkie Pie would've been the perfect party-member.
and the hero rides into the sunset...
I beg your pardon!
sorry

The hard mode version of this quest has a lack of Tutorial Spike! Which is terrible. Cause that would mean Rarity would have to rescue the dragon from the clutches of the evil, but beautiful, princess! Also, YAY AN UPDATE!
Got watch those DOTs. Well Rarity win her fortitude save? Or will the story end here.
Yeeeeeeees! THE STORY CONTINUES! Oh look! A save point!
>Save Game?
>Yes.
But what is the plot twist? Can named NPC's make a difference?
Will there be loot galore?
How much galore will there be?
I taught him well.

Fun question, do the villains know of Rarity (Representative of the Element of Generosity, Princess Twilight's friend, Fabulous owner of Carousel Boutique), or do they only know her as the HERO (as chosen by the Sabre of Omens)? TUNE IN NEXT UPDATE WHEN WE FIND OUT WHO THESE NPC VILLAINS MIGHT BE!!!
Now to see who is the most savvy. Any anyone who starts of calling someone a hero in that way might not be the best person in the world...
it was a fun read, good thing I didn’t have to wait two years for a conclusion though. nice and silly.
