Growing up is never easy, especially when you're a dragon among ponies and the closest thing you've ever had to a parent is a slightly scatterbrained young unicorn. When tempers boil over, can this makeshift family pull itself back together?

FIRST OTHER YEAH! After: Love it.

this is finally here? ....course this might not be the same story i'm thinking of :P

816277 no it probably is, this is really old, I've just been way to lazy too post it here until now lol

816279 oh ok cause this was a good story ;3

ur nat me mum

This is really good. You've earned my green thumb. :pinkiehappy:

First world pony problems. :rainbowlaugh:

This is impossible not to like, you have earned my thumbs up and fave

Trivia: I recall seeing some comments from Lauren Faust about this subject... She imagined that Celestia had raised Spike through his first few years, while Twilight was also studying under her. That would seem to explain how their more sibling-like relationship developed. (However, I don't think that detracts from this story at all.)

I always viewed Twilight and Spike having a mother/son relationship... and I like fics that depict it

this is so sweet! i just want to hug you for giving me the chance to read this. it mad me d'aww uncontrollably:twilightsmile:

816489 Well she also did say that Rainbow Dash wouldn't make a good sister for Scootaloo and in all honesty the fandom tends to prove her wrong, she isn't always right about everything when it comes to this show no one is. :unsuresweetie: (I'm not bashing her by the way I actually think she's pretty good and it's a shame she's left the show)

Very nice bit of writing  ,
reminded me quite a lot of me when my mother was still around:ajsleepy:

816388 Using the outdated three worlds model, it is also a second world problem
The Model

that made me cry good story

oh i c wut u did thar

816906 Yup (I think)
Raised in Russia,
although born of American woman that I called мать (mom)

wow... you featured fast.

What a heartwarming story.... It's readable too, so thumbs up for you sir!

Very nice story, short and sweet and it really made me smile. :pinkiehappy:

Great, thanks a lot. Now you got me feeling all bad about all the arguing I do with my mom. :trixieshiftleft:

This reminds me of the story Eurobeat Brony wrote before he started making music (I think that's what he did, not too sure though. Either him or some artist). Probably just coincidence. Anyway, great story!

Really nice story. Although, I'd love if it had been longer. But, still good.
5 Twists for you.

that was such a sweet story:pinkiesad2:

It was short and sweet and I enjoyed it very much, Awesome job.:rainbowdetermined2:

have a stash and a fluttershy to d'aww your enemies to death:moustache::yay:

Stable Wars: Nightmare Moon Strikes Back

... sheesh, add another couple dozen points onto Luna's guilt complex.

*sniff* That was just...d'aw.:rainbowkiss:

I would have spent more time on reading this fiction if it had been longer.
Meaning I would have enjoyed this more.
Just saying.
I give it a 4.5
assets0.ordienetworks.com/images/GifGuide/clapping/dwight.gif .

Amazing, simply amazing! That was so well written I can't even express how proud I am of you! Actually here's a little something.

take them all :moustache::moustache::moustache: take the moustaches you deserve them all :twilightsmile:

I remember reading this on Equestria Daily. Still as d'awwful as always.
Have a smiling Pinkie.:pinkiehappy:

I don't think RD would make a good big sister either. Scootaloo plays the role of a follower and admirer of RD. In the fics I've read with the two, RD doesn't realize to what extent she influences Scoot's life, and just likes soaking up the attention; until she has a sobering epiphany.

It was a bit short, but still quite nice, overall. Spike and Twilight's relationship is both friendly and motherly, and nobody seems to examine it enough (that I've seen) Great job

Amazing. Simply amazing. It's not often when I get that soft, fluttery feeling inside. And you, sir. have triggered this in me. And for that, I applaud you! :moustache::twilightsheepish:

There's a part near the middle that says "Philadelphia". Shouldn't it read "Fillydelphia"?

Can't remember where I read this before but I read it again here and I shall fave it. Even with the dragon episode, this is still mostly canon.

This is the end WTF:flutterrage:

817725 lol yeah probably, thanks for pointing that out

 This was Adorable.

I'd d'aaawwwwww at this story if it wasn't for the fact it was too short to really draw me in and it resolved itself too quickly and it ignored alot of Spike's actual issues with Twilight. In many ways Twilight takes Spike for granted and hurts him in her zeal for studying i.e. the very first time we see Spike. She leaves Spike to clean up her messes. That's not the job of an assistant, that is a bloody maid.

817917 No, you're right, idk why I and other people use it, it just sounds good and sort of adds expression I guess? ... idk

This was a really good story, great job

Hey, can you put up a source to who drew the image?

Lol before I saw your note at the end I was thinking, "hold up is he refrencing the hobbit? Can't be that dragon is male!" lol I'm such a nerd! :rainbowlaugh:
