OneStrangePegasister

back and still trash~

E

One day, when Twilight Sparkle goes to Sugar Cube Corner, asking Pinkie Pie for a cake for her friend Lyra's birthday, Pinkie excitedly tells her about a new food she found out about, that a gang of rogues had brought to her.
Pinkie fails to see how suspicious this food really is. The fact that rogues (who weren't even allowed to live in Equestria; they're rogues, for Celestia's sake!) gave her a rare food that only they had, and no pony else knew about is completely fine with her. Twilight however DOES realize this, and instantly recognizes this food to be known as "corndogs." But she doesn't have the heart to tell her friend that this uncommon edible treat is actually some ponies' friends.

I have no regrets.

Please note: This fic is just for the sake of comedy. It's not really meant to be taken seriously. And I hope that you don't.

Please... Just don't.

If she had taken a closer look, she'd have seen its not meat inside, but a CARROT!

And obviously this band of rogues are Discord worshippers.

7567164 Omg, your comment made me laugh so hard. X'D

7567168 Actually, cannibalism is eating members of your own species. Eating sentient beings would be more along the lines of a sentientivore (I know. Rare word, isn't it?)
And since a corn dog is simply a batter dipped sausage on a stick, it can be made with any combination of meats you could use to make a sausage. I even had a venison corn dog once.
Still I can see how this can be played up for comedic value.

7574742 Okay, okay, I was wrong. xD Sorry..
It's just surprising me how much people care about the fact that I messed up... XD

7574798 As Duke says, "and knowing is half the battle!"

This was amusing...

But I feel the pay off was weak. I think it would've been much funnier if Twilight had told Pinkie what a corn dog was. That, or if the story continued after the point it ended. Perhaps those "Rogues" were friends of Lyra's?

Aside from that, I didn't care for the intro narration. It felt a bit out of place, but that's just my opinion. It didn't ruin the story for me by any means.

Anyways, my criticism aside, I do think the story was amusing. I just think it could've used a better pay off.

Personally, I would've had Twilight tell Pinkie, and have maybe had Pinkie tell Twilight that the Rogue's said they were just breaded carrots or something.

Or had Pinkie have a full blown meltdown.

But that's just me.

7757654 Sorry about those few parts you didn't like. I just didn't think that Twilight should have told Pinkie, but maybe I'll make a sequel where Pinkie actually finds out, who knows where my brain is going to go with this. x3
I also didn't think it was necessary to reveal who were the rogues were, I just thought it would be best if it remained a mystery. I don't know, I guess for the sake of comedy or something...
As for the narration, well... Sorry it felt out of place. I just thought the story needed something like that at the beginning.
But I understand your criticism, and I'm glad you enjoyed the story overall.

7758575 You're welcome.

I saw that you like it when people leave criticism when they dislike a story. I figured I'd do the latter, despite leaving a like. :yay:

7758586 Yeah, it really helps, thanks. x3

Didn't find amyhring graphic about what corn dogs wereade of but I liwkd the story.
