its an alternate universe so anything can happen dude. if u dont like it u didnt have to put a raging comment about it. you could've just made it simple and tell me what you dont like. and as for the timeline i'll try and make it more understandable if u want. again ALTERNATE UNIVERSE! in mine all the evil the main 6 faced in equestria bonds togeather to take over it. thats what the last line in the book meant...
and also the detention part. all the students were gonna watch over twi and sunny but i guess ur kinda right on that part...

Sighs but I going to give a better more detail review pointing out the plot holes, and bits that don't make sense.
I get it the AU but it doesn;t make sense still, Three years equal a thousand years....The only ponies left alive would be the Princesses, and Spike would be alot older.
How would Rarity be alive? Let alone all the others, if a over a thousand years had passed......That part really confuses me and I'm fighting with all my heart not to write a few scrastic questions.
But the last part after ruining Twilight's world, and maybe getting Twilight friends captured, hurt, sick, kidnapped, and well a whole huge paragrph of terrible things done to them.
...i have such a scrastic remark i want to make but i won't...
the worst they get is a year of detention....
There i said it, there alot more i can point out but I'm not. I think the time difference should equal the same.
Three years passed between both worlds, intead of a thousand years because other wise only Spike and the Princesses would still be alive.
As for a punishment, the human five for what they done would be stripped of thier magic for good, as it wasn't..well harmony to destroy oen world to get one person to stay with them.
The rest of the students or guilt part knowing they hurt Twilight and a entire world out of ingorance and greed because they didn't want to lose Twilight, who could gone back as many times as possible.
that and they lose the magic that was in thier world along with the Human five.
That all I can say, what ever you write for the rest of the story I leave to you.

dude in this story the magic gets stripped off the human world why did u say it nooo spoliers!!!!!!!!!!(XD) but srsly i had a whole magic epic fight drama scene for that ti happen! thats why all the students of CHS where watching over sunny and twi aarrrrgh!!
also the main six r over a thousand years old. the summer sun celebration happens on the longest day of the thousanth year. the summer sun celebration was taking place in the season 4 premire. so i'd say from season 1 to the beggining of season 4 was 1,000 years i guess... uhm dont ask me in timelines science hurts my brain XD and im not saying it was exactly 1,00 years it was a little over that (kay that doesn't help lololololol) i understand the punishment and the pacing, anything could happen to equestria with twi gone for the time span of season 1 to the begininng of season 4! but yea, the punishment... for me this is after rainbow rocks i dunno yea my timing and pacing is off but forget it. sunny n twi r goin bc to their home. i need to think of what they will see and what will happen but i was also working on my other story today so yea my writing is goin off but oh well XD

This's an intriguing premise, but the story develops in a rather different direction that's been done too often before: Equestria gets conquered by some enemy and our heroines must save the day. I'm afraid you brush over the original premise too fast. Why are the Humane Six willing to cast a spell on Twilight to make her forget all about Equestria? How can they learn magic so fast? What're the consequences to their friendship with each other and with Twilight - both while the spell's in force and afterwards? And for that matter, what happens between Twilight and Flash Sentry?
With your premise, you sort of need to address all these things - and they'd make a very good story, even without any horrible consequences to Equestria in Twilight's absence!
