There's just something about the need to declare that a robot is of legal age that seems... off to me.
Sweetie/Spike is always one of my more personal favorite ships, but there is something a lot sexier about a Sweetie Bot/Spike and the paring is a lot rarer... I shall be keeping an eye on this story, but at first, I thought it was a prequel to Flammenwerfer's Sweetie Bot story. Both use coverart featuring the sameish comic, and both seem to be similar to the universe a bit.
It seems to be an amusingly similar coincidence and I love shit like this as it is so far fetched and whacky that it has to be true. I will read it later... as I don't read incomplete stories. First off I love this story so far and I have read the comics so I know clop is coming soon and you said that you would post a chapter today *fingers crossed* but I just wanted to say because I have seen too many of my favorite stories die so please don't let this stop without a proper ending. 7457930 People are remarkably silly. Sweetie Bot would of necessity have been manufactured after Sweetie, so even if Sweet is of age the bot would be younger, and Spike, being a dragon, would probably need to be 50 or so before his society considers him an adult.
Suffice to say, I wouldn't worry overly about it.
7457635 Well that's the thing. I don't really have a proper ending in place yet for this series as of yet. It's more a project for when I need to break from my other series and write some pleasant fluff.

If she could grow and function just like a regular pony, then wouldn't she logically be able to regrow her, ah... skin and fur? If it wasn't somehow capable of regenerating, then it probably wouldn't have lasted close to two decades without anybody else noticing, especially with how much trouble she got into when she was younger.
If I were Spike, I'd probably do something as soon as possible to show that he's still into her. She doesn't sound very hopeful right now.
7458620 Except there's a big difference between healing a cut and growing an all new skin. Think in terms of a biological person. A cut, scratch, or burn that is small will heal after some time, but if it is too large, then a person will need skin graphs in order to recover. There's also the issue of not knowing how the synthetic epidermal layer works. Even if Sweetie Bot's repair abilities are more advance than natural biological beings, it's possible she would still need some of her epidermis or sub dermal layer to build on and grow in order to repair her exterior.

One word of advice is to watch their vocabulary. I realize they're older, but some of the word choices don't feel natural to the characters. Both are obviously intelligent, but feels a bit less like them in such an informal and intimate conversation.
I might suggest a bit more hesitance to show thought and emotion, as well? I got a sense like they already knew what they were going to say from this chapter rather than two impressionable young adults facing a minor crisis and trying to figure out how they felt about it, each other, and how to communicate those feelings. The feelings themselves were written well, though!

Some examples! There's nothing wrong with any of these sentences, they just seem to be outside the personality of both characters. Really nailing a character's word choices can enhance even an already-satisfied reader's enjoyment of a story!
