Looking at the transcript, not even that; she always calls him "Chief". Spike's the only one who says his name, though he must have been told it by someone. Thunderhooves himself is the only one to say the word "father", and that's when he's going on about "My father stampeded" etc.
Nice little story.
Over a Barrel is my favorite episode and Braeburn is my favorite pony, so I'm happy to see Braeburn relaxing with Little Strongheart and seeing there's no hard feelings. Glad to know I'm not alone!
7448681 Yeah, I had realised that and made an oops in my author's notes. Strongheart herself only gets identified twice, once by Spike and then later once by Rainbow Dash. Meanwhile, Applejack calls Braeburn by name six times in one conversation, so you won't be forgetting his name

Yeah, this was a nice one.
I actually enjoy "Over a Barrel" too. It's not perfect, but it's enjoyable and I really thought we'd see Braeburn and Little Strongheart be the ones to bring the conflict to a close by appealing to everyone's better senses. I think that would have been a lot better than "compromise because apple pie is good." But still, this is a good use of the two best characters introduced in that episode.
(Also, that cover art is adorable, but a bit misleading, since this isn't a romantic story at all.)
A really cute blossoming of friendship! I like the way you painted the scene and had them just getting to know each other. The pair makes sense also because in the episode, they were the most sensible two on either side of the issue.
I don't know why anyone would not like "Over a Barrel". I thought it was hilarious! And i loved Little Strongheart and Braeburn. I wish very much they would bring Little Stringheart back. The cover art for this story is super cute BTW.
