Chapter Fifteen: Footie Pajamas and Babas

Staring down at the silky and kind of flimsy page of her coloring book, the child ran her crayon’s rose-pink head down the surface; flooding the material’s pours with the bright colored wax. Shifting the rubber soles of her footie pajamas back and forth on the living room’s laminate wood floor, she kept her body at whatever relative distance was most comfortable to view her handiwork.

Fluttershy, who was laid back on the living room couch with her heels resting right next to her niece’s book on the coffee table, glanced over at the girl. “Heh, you really are a good color-er, aren’t you Scooty Booty?”

Smiling coyly at the pet name, the child broke her focus and turned her head to face her aunt. “Uh, I’d like to think so.” She answered, humbly.

“Heh, well I think you’re definitely a great colourer.” The women said, sitting up in her seat. Leaning towards Scootaloo’s direction a little, she draped her arm over the younger girl’s shoulder and hugged her close.

Almost instinctively, Scootaloo dropped her crayon and bent her whole body over, hugging her small arms around her aunt’s tummy.

“Awwe, someone’s a little cuddle bug too!” Fluttershy gushed, leaning in and giving the girl a greater fuller hug. As her hand traced circles on her niece’s micror-rachel covered back, she couldn’t help but feel the peculiar amount of heat permeating from her back. “Oh sweetie, you seem like you’re burning up. You don’t feel sick do you?”

Scootaloo, who had her forehead pressed against her aunt’s chest peaked her head up a little and shook it some. “Mmm, no. But I am admittedly a little toasty in my PJs”

“Ooh.” Fluttershy paused, continuing to run circles on her little one’s back with her right hand. “I guess I should have guessed that with how heavy your PJS are. Although, they are making you feel a little bit better aren’t they.”

Scootaloo thought about it for a second, a little hazy in the comfortable embrace of her aunt. Looking up at the ceiling, she could barely hear the pitter patter of rain.

“Heh, I knew being wrapped in something warm and fuzzy would help.” Fluttershy boasted, gently breaking out of the hug. Keeping on arm on her niece’s near shoulder, she continued to gently brush the soft fabric with her hand. “That being said though, I think if you’re going to keep working as hard as you are on your colouring book. You might need a refreshment.”

“A refreshment?” Scootaloo asked, puckering her lips a little. Her aunt wasn’t wrong, she hadn’t realized how dry her mouth and everything had gotten.

The aunt nodded her head a little. “Mmmhmm. I was thinking I might make you a nice baba and let you relax a little while I figure out what we’re having for dinner.”

“For dinner?” Scootaloo questioned, looking off at the room’s hanging bell clock. She puckered her lips and then looked at her aunt, “Wooah, I didn’t realize it’s been like an hour!”

Fluttershy giggled a little as she stood up from her seat and started making her way to the kitchen. “Well, time really flies by when you’re colouring in poinsettias and daffodils. Of course, I guess it helps that they’re playing a marathon of Spongebob- like they do every day.”

Staring up from a page a little, Scootaloo gazed up at the plasma screen in disbelief, as if she hadn’t been steadily listening to the re-runs ever since she made her way downstairs. Blinking, she brought her balled up fist up to her eyes and gently rubbed them. Her mouth going slightly agape as she let out a little yawn.

“Uh-oh.” Fluttershy giggled, pacing back into the room. With an amused expression on her face, she curiously tossed the frothy plastic bottle in her hand. “Are you sure you can handle this baba. You won’t go beddie bye on me, right?”

“Noooo.” Scootaloo said, pushing her crayons over a little and turning her book page shut. Hunkering her legs close to her chest, she hugged them and rested her chin on her knees. “I’m just a little dazed by how long I’ve been staring at my paper, you know.”

“Ooh I know, getting too focused on anything can get you really wound up in your own mind, you know.” Fluttershy smiled, taking a seat right next to the girl.

Keeping her form, Scootaloo leaned over, resting her head on her aunt’s shoulder. “Mmph. I’ll be honest, I didn’t really think I’d ever find myself invested in a colouring book ever again.”

The aunt opened up her left arm and craned it around her niece’s fleece covered shoulder then ran her palm up and down a little. “Oooh, truest me. I’ve definitely didn’t think I’d be in quite this situation either, but here we are.”

Scootaloo unfolded her legs and grasped onto her aunt’s left arm for support as she leaned over. “What do you mean by that?” she asked, curiously eying the plastic baba her aunt was gripping.

“Ooh, you know.” The women replied, glancing down at her niece’s goofy expression of intrigue. “Obviously, I wasn’t planning on really even having you over for long this summer. But, it’s been a blessing in disguise. It’s fun having a baby around full time who I don’t have to worry about getting into trouble.”

Shifting in her aunt’s arms just a little, the teen girl rested her head on the woman’s shoulder and reached out to grab the baba. “Hmm? What about when I go back to school in the fall? I have been known to stir up trouble at school.” Scootaloo giggled.

Leaning back in the couch a little, the woman took a deep breath. “Oooh, I dunno about that.” She mused, looking over at her niece’s scruffy bob-cut. “I’m not sure if it’s really in our best interest to send you back to school. I mean- well, you know.”:

“Know what?” Scootaloo asked, experimentally rubbing her cheek up and down the soft cotton fabric that covered her aunt’s shoulder.

Breaking her focus on her niece, the aunt glanced up at the television screen, looking at the cartoon’s bright colourful- but somewhat sunny depiction of Bikini Bottom. “Well, I just mean I don’t think you’re going to be quite mature enough to attend school when the opportunity comes.” She said, continuing to stair hazily at the screen, “I mean. You barely behave yourself even on a short leash, you haven’t picked up a clever piece of entertainment in like a week, and you seem to doze off more often now than when you were a little kid. Let alone that fact that you’ve given up on using the bathroom.”

“Huh?” Scootaloo questioned, a little off taken by her aunt’s comment. Curiously, she too stared at the overtly childish entertainment on the screen, too confuzzled with her own thoughts to pay it much mind.

Fluttershy settled her hand and leaned into her niece a little too. “I’m just saying, for your own sake I think it’d be best if you maybe were homeschooled for a little while. I’m not gonna make you, but I think I might you need a mentor, not an educator.” She paused for a little bit, continuing to sink into the couch cushion, “You are already a pretty smart girl after all and I can show you the way around a text book.”

“Hmmm…” Scootaloo sounded, sitting up straight and shaking her shoulders a little. “I-I dunno. I mean it’d be a ltitle weird being out of school.” She looked to her side over at her aunt, “I mean, you’re cool and all. But I do occasionally need to see other people my age. I don’t want to be a big baby ALL the time.”

“Heh, well I don’t know if you can really help it dear.” Fluttershy smiled, breaking her glare of the television to look over at her little one. “You’re going through about five or six diapers a day and I don’t think you’re gonna be able to do that at school unless I sign you up for some kind of special education class. But, that wouldn’t be very fun would it?”

Scootaloo blushed a little as she kicked feet, watching bemused the somewhat airy fabric brushed back and forth around her ankle. “I mean, yeah.” She conceded, then raised an eyebrow, “Wait! Who said I’m gonna be here come autumn?”

Fluttershy smirked a little at her niece’s observation. The aunt stood up from the couch and turned her back on the girl. “Oooh, no reason.” She said, trying to downplay the subject a little, “I just- I got a message earlier today that your mom abandoned her residence and that there was note stating you were with me. That’s all I know for sure.”

A little disappointed, Scootaloo slumped over a little in her lap and shrugged, “Oh, that sucks.”

“Yeah.” Fluttershy agreed, trying to keep the situation from getting too ‘heaver’. Trying to liven up the mood a little, she began to walk over to the kitchen, “Trust me, I wasn’t expecting something like that either. But, I am super happy to have you at my house!” She said vanishing briefly through the kitchen door before reemerging with another icy bottle of milk.

Faintly smiling, Scootaloos pressed her palms against her lap and experimentally ran them up and down her footie pajama’s soft material, caressing the microfleece texture with the natural divits of her fingers. “Thanks, Fluttershy.” She said, reaching up for the bottle being offered to her, “A baba would make me feel a little better.”

“I’m glad to hear it.” She said, offering her little one of the infantile container “You know Auntie Fluttershy will always be here to help and coddle you.” She cooed warmly at the child, “I’ll tell you what. If it makes you feel more at home, Auntie Fluttershy will even schedule a play date for you. How does that sound?”

Scootaloo’s eyes opened wide as she contemplated her aunt’s words. “A friend o-over here?” She mouthed, hopping onto her feet. Gawking up at the women, she threw the baba onto the couch and placed her hands on her hip, “I mean, I dunno about that. I mean I guess we’ve still got a little while until dinner and stuff. But- I mean don’t you think they’d laugh at me?”

Fluttershy giggled a little tilting her head back and forth. “Heh, maybe a lil. But, I’m sure Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle wouldn’t do anything malicious if they found out your little- uh- dilemma.”

“I dunno.” The child said, curiously running right hand down her backside as if to gauge how much her diaper stuck out in her footies. “I mean, I guess I should probably open those two up to this aspect of my life. But, I think Applebloom is gonna be in Manehatten for a month.” She said, watching as her aunt paced over to the tv stand where her gym back rested.

Reaching inside, Flutterhy scooped out Scootaloo’s old smart phone and tapped it to see if it had service- which it didn’t. Still tickled by the idea, the women reached into her own back pocket and clicked a button, igniting the backlight and her screen. “It’s up to you if you wanna do it Scootaloo.” She said, flashing the girl a perky smile, “But, truthfully speaking I do think it might help you feel a little more comfortable with yourself. Especially since it’s been a while since you’ve spoken to someone on your own level.”

Toddling over to the women, Scootaloo clung onto her aunt’s hip and looked down at the smart phone screen with a curious gaze. “I mean, I guess it would be nice to catch up on things. It’s been a while since school let out.” She said, smiling slightly, “P-plus I think it would be appropriate to get used to being a uh- baby in a way that’s not off putting.”

“Mmm, I hear that.” The women agreed, flipping her thumb curiously down her list of contacts, “I mean, I assume she won’t think any different of you. Perhaps you might look a little more little, but that doesn’t change what a likable scamp you are.” She teased.

“Yeah.” Scootaloo pouted, watching quietly as Fluttershy pressed the contact ‘Rarity’ and began the dial tone…

“Hey Rarrrrity, what’s up?”

There a brief pause, “Uhhh, nothing. You called me, dear.”

“Oh, heh. I guess you’re right.” Fluttershy giggled, glancing down at Scootaloo, “Scootaloo was wondering if you wanted to have Sweetie come over sometime this week.”

“Sweetie over at your place? Oh right, I forgot you’re fostering Scootaloo.” Rarity rambled, “I guess that’d be okay. Is Scootaloo still uh-“

Fluttershy reached her hand down and ruffled her niece’s hair, “Yeah, Scootaloo is still acting like a little kid.” She answered prematurely.

“Hmmm, how’re you going to break THAT to Sweetie?” Rarity questioned with a bemused tone of voice.

Fluttershy directed her eyes up at the ceiling as if she were contemplating an answer, “Oooh, I assume it’ll be easy. I’ll just tell Sweetie that Scootaloo wanted to see what it was like to be a little kid again and that I’m making her stick to it.”

There was a bit of a pause, then Rarity’s hesitantly tone voice came through, “A-are you sure Sweetie would really believe you?”

Shrugging her shoulders, the women looked back down at Scootaloo who reflected her own curious expression. Smiling, she tilted her head to the side, “I dunno, I mean it’s more or less the truth.”

Rarity took a small breath and sighed. “I guesssss I could drive her over there sometimes soon. Although, I think she’s gonna be at her piano practice until late tonight. You wanna have her over for dinner maybe? Or perhaps you want to take her in tomorrow?”

“Hmmm, I’ll think about it. Scootaloo and I really don’t have plans, so whatever you think will work best for you.” Fluttershy added, staring into space.

“Alrighty, will do Fluttershy. I’ll text you when I have an answer. Good bye dear.” Rarity sang jovially.

Scootaloo clung to her aunt’s waist a little, wrapping her fleece covered arms around the women’s waist. Looking up she puckered her lips a little. “Sooo?”

Fluttershy smiled kindly, “Well, it looks like your friend is coming over sometime soon. I don’t think it’s gonna be tonight, but it seems like it might be soon.”

Smiling a little, the girl squeezed her aunt just a little tighter, “Oooh, that’s exciting. I dunno how I’m gonna act though. It’s been a while since I’ve ‘been big’ per say. I don’t even know what to talk about.”

“Heh, well you don’t have to worry about ‘acting big’ Scootaloo. I’ll try not to dress you up obscenely, but you’re not getting out of diapers that easily.” The aunt giggled, rolling her shoulders as her little one loosened her embrace.

Crossing her arms, the child looked up at her aunt with a devious smile, “Well, maybe I don’t wanna act like a baby.”

Not appreciating the sass, Fluttershy similarly crossed her arms as she locked eyes with her niece. Trying to keep control over the situation she tried spoke to the girl with a temperance of a nursery school teacher, “Scootaloo. You know the rules, if you wanna be a baby you’ve got to commit. I’m willing to give you training pants for that day if you’re good, but that’s the best I can do”

“If I’m good? I don’t want Sweetie Belle seeing my vag cause I had to go in a diaper instead of in the bathroom.” Scootaloo shouted, defensively.

Closing her eyes, Fluttershy took a deep breath. Keeping her cool, she turned her back on the girl and snuck her cellphone into her running short’s back pocket. “Scootaloo, just don’t do anything stupid and I’m not gonna embarrass you in front of Sweetie.” She affirmed, as she paced over to the kitchen door.

“You will if you make me wear a diaper!” Scootaloo yelled, throwing her hands up in the air as she stomped behind her aunt.

“Scootaloo, I told you I’ll let you wear training pants as long as you’re good. You’re a big girl, but you can’t stop wearing diapers especially with how ‘naturally’ this going in your pants thing has gotten for you. Now please, drop it.”

Scootaloo stared at her aunt’s back, her face visibly flush as her mind tried to outrun the reality that she might have actually impaired herself. Staring at the pompous blue-coloured backside in front of her, she couldn’t help but feel mocked. “Hmmph!” the child sounded, grabbing the elastic of aunt’s shorts.

“Scootaloo!” the women yelled.

But it was too late.

Staring down at her bare feet, Fluttershy couldn’t help but be paralyzed at the sight of her short’s hanging around her ankles.

Scootaloo puckered her lips a little, staring perplexed at her aunt’s big perky butt. She didn’t expect her aunt to be wearing high cut panties; let alone something as unsexy as a repeating pink and turquoise butterfly pattern. Breaking out of her mindless she snickered a little, “Woooah, I had no idea you wore granny panties!”

“Scootaloo!” Fluttershy yelled, tenaciously.

Hiking her hands close to her chest, Scootaloo winced a little as she heard her name called outloud. “I-I mean uh- sorry?”

Ungracefully, Fluttershy leaned over and pulled her shorts up her legs and over her backside with a snap of their elastic. Turning around to face the child, she stared at the ceiling with a warm red hue on face. “Scootaloo, what impulsed you to do that?” she questioned, switching her attention back to her little one, “Do you know better, or are you really that daft?”

Scootaloo rolled her eyes, “Well you SAID I was a baby.”

Closing her eyes, Fluttershy took a deep breath as she contemplated just who she was dealing with. Placing her hands on her hips she looked down the girl. “Listen, Scootaloo. You’re not a baby. But I can’t let you run around in your regular undies right away because it’d be an awkward transition. Besides, that still isn’t an excuse to pants me!”

Scootaloo continued to meekly fiddle with her hands. “But, I can handle wearing big girl pants.”

“You can handle wearing big girl pants? Are you sure about that, because pulling down your auntie’s shorts sure wasn’t a very big girl thing to do.” The women objected.

The girl was quiet and shrugged her shoulders, “I mean- I think so.”

“I’ll tell you what.” Fluttershy said, pointing down at her little one’s zipper. “I’ll let you wear the training pants. But you’re not allowed to wear pants for the rest of the day- and that includes your footies.”

“Wha?” Scootaloo questioned, looking down capriciously at the footies of her pajamas. “But- what if I have to use the bathroom? Why am I being punished?”

The aunt’s eye twitched, “Scootaloo, please. Get out of your pajamas right now or I’m gonna spank you.”

Swallowing uncomfortably, the girl lifted her hand around her neck and undid the safety button. Grabbing her zipper, she began shakily tugging the stainless-steel zipper all the way down to her ankle.

“Goood.” Fluttershy nodded, crossing her arms victoriously as she watched her niece strip down to her diaper and t-shirt. “Now, be a good girl and skedaddle back to your coloring book.”

A little perplexed by her aunt’s lax punishment caused the girl to blink twice in disbelief. Staring down at her feet, she couldn’t help but smirk at the sight of her diaper quietly bulging past her tummy. Shrugging the thought, she turned he back on her aunt and toddled back to the living room keeping her eyes focused on the coffee table the whole way. It was hard enough walking with a diaper on, but the fact that there was nothing supporting her diaper short of her meek hips meant walking was ‘tricky’ to say the least.

Author's Note:

I never thought I'd use Sponge Bob as a poetic device in any of my writing.

Honestly, I am pretty happy with this chapter turned out considering what a long break I took in between writing it's first 1/3rd and it's other 2/3rds. At that, I have more of a solid idea of where I'm going with this story in the future. I know some people have been concerned about this story's continuation and all I can say is I definitely plan on continuing his story for many many more chapters.

At that, I should also announce that I have a new story that's in the works unofficially titled 'Fragments of Time' that's going to focus on a human ab/dl relationship between Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash. Idealistically, I get the first chapter of it posted sometime in January. But, we will see.

As always, I hope you enjoyed chapter. I also hope you have a Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas! ~Oliver-England
