I heard once that horse are omnivorous because there wasn't enough vegetation for them all to eat and slowly adopted a meat and vegi diet
but when we domesticated them and fed them hay or grass or whatever the became vegi eaters again or something. Don't know how much of that's true though, but is that what your going on about because the story said twilight picked up a RABBIT because there's no other logical option.
