I'm guessing you either play in the community, or have friends that do.
You had my interest. Now you have my full attention.
...go oooon
7425014 Agreed... This is pretty interesting. I mean, it seemed a bit off at first, if that makes sense, like some bad adventure fic, but this makes up for it. It definitely needed the clarity and world building.
ohhhh really cool too gwt some more info about the clock tower
Absolutely love this so far and cannot wait to see where it goes. I love the in-depth detail into the basic building blocks of 'The Society' and what makes it so important. Also because these rules are extremely important and it definitely feels that way here, just as they are so important in real life play.
I noticed that the manual states that binding the tail to stop a submissive from using her safety bell is against the rules. Are there no submissive stallions? And if so, why not?
7592745 It was probably just a word choice error and they meant 'their' safety bell.
I really want to point out how much I love this world building, because it's basically absolutely everything I've believed in when dealing with a sub/dom relationship, there must always be Trust. I've heard it everywhere and I've heard of it being neglected everywhere. I know it's just a really good story but seriously, it's nice in so many ways I can't even explain.
7592745 This manual is likely specific to the ponyville clocktower that is for submissive mares, the submissive stallions one is elsewhere in Equestria.
7592745 In most literature, when referring to a person of indeterminate gender and a gender-neutral pronoun would sound awkward, a male pronoun is used. In a society where females outnumber males by a wide margin, maybe they use female pronouns instead.
Good on you for actually helping to promulgate how it actually works…the wording is a bit elaborate for teaching though-
Ah. That explains it.
This is brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. You could use this as a section of a how to manual.
7592745 Male subs have a separate Clocktower site. Presumably this book is for the mares as subs site.
Okay, seen some Clocktower Society stuff around, looked interesting, opening chapter was rather intriguing, if rising some questions and, will get into that after more story.
But this alone makes me LOVE this idea, just.. so perfectly puts what so many seem to not get about this type of thing, and what makes it so exciting. Even noting that being the Dom does have it's own potential stresses that could cuase them to need to break the roleplay as well.
Seriously, this is amazing and can't wait to get to more of it.
I like where this is going.
I like where this is going. :D
Oh my Holy SWEET CELESTIA...
That Fluttershy...
Totally...
NEXT CHAPTER!
Inspiration awaits.
I've been really interested in the Clocktower Society universe ever since I read Luna Visits a Tentacle Pit, but I'm surprised it took me this long to get around to reading what started it all. This is some wonderful stuff, and definitely worth building a universe around.
I think I'm starting to like Clocktower more than Fall of Equestria; the former series is cute and brings a lighter tone to more kinky clop. I like the latter for its emotional evocation rather than the actual clop itself.

I know what you mean. FOE is kinky and sexy as all hell, but you have that post-orgasm shame that makes you feel like a rapist. With this, there’s a huge focus on love and consent that gives a much more realistic perspective of BDSM. Frankly, it’s even sexier because of that.

A quote from a fictional movie slave-owner in a comment for a BDSM-society fanfic?

Now that's fucking immersive.
Cool. The bell is a nice addition, isn't magic wonderful?
