Troubled author Inkwell is not only one of Equestria's only horror writers, but also a stallion without a cutie mark. He has amassed a loyal following of readers, including Princess Luna herself. One day, in order to help him overcome his writer's block, Luna invites him to the castle's restricted library to find inspiration. In the darkest corners of this library, Inkwell uncovers an ancient secret that is unknown even to the two princesses. Soon, he finds himself plagued with horrific nightmares which he uses as the subject of his book, and things become complicated when these nightmares begin to manifest themselves in the real world. Seeing as this fic hasn't received much attention, even though it certianly deserves it, I feel obliged to give an assesment on my personal feelings about this story.
Firstly, I detect a certian amount of influence from the game "Alan Wake", athough if your eariler comments are anything to go by, you probaby had no prior knowlege of the connection. Anyway, the first four chapters appear, at first glance, to be fairly cheerful and upbeat. However, on closer inspection, an underlying sense of suspense and tension begins to come through. I like the way you hint at what is to come, but at the same time, you don't reveal too much about what's going to happen later on.
Finaly, you might want to consider adding music to the chapters to increase the tension and fear.

Although I am curious, how would I go about implementing music? I'm not really familiar with writing fanfiction, so I guess adding music is a thing on this site.

821227 There's a tool icon that allows you to add a link to a word, like this. The tool should be right next to the one you use to link images, the one that looks like a little picture. It should be near the top of your screen. Directly opposite that should be a sort of three-pronged thing. This is what you click to add a link. To add the link to a spesific piece of text, simply highlight the section of text you want to add it to before you click the button.

This is a severely truncated chapter for several reasons.
1. I was in a life-threatening car accident a month ago and sustained a brain injury. What I posted in chapter 5 was already written at the time, and I for the life of me cannot remember where I was going with it because of memory issues.
2. I realized I hadn't updated this in weeks and I just really wanted to post something to make myself feel better, heh.
3. I wanted to make sure people didn't think I abandoned this story.
It will be revisted/lengethed/rewritten fully maybe in the near future. I just needed something to post.
