Rumble has always been an athletic colt, and when he learns that he is to spend two months with Thunderlane and Blossomforth, he figures it will be an ideal opportunity to hone his soccer skills.
That turns out to not quite be the case.

Well, let me preface this by saying I prefer the exact opposite of this story, but with the same 'victims': extreme athleticism, fat loss, muscle gain.
That said, it was a good read. I haven't read the first story in this, and didn't feel like I missed any major plot points. Blossomforth's motivations are somewhat explained, and the way she manipulates poor Rumble is so ambiguous it's hard to tell if she's wrong. So it's kind of dark in that sense.
I feel sorry for both Rumble and Thunderlane, but on the other hand there is no one actually stopping Thunderlane from outright leaving Blossomforth or Rumble saying 'no'. He was given a choice. Then again, maybe they both have a weakness for manipulation like that. It adds a degree of tension to the plot, not knowing just how evil our 'antagonist' is. The fact that she's willing to do it to a child certainly amps things up.
It also made me think about my own health and how much control anyone has over it. Do people want an athletic physique badly enough that they'd put in the necessary work? Do people who let go need take fll responsibility or is there accountability for those putting the temptation in front of them? I don't think this story has any business making the reader think about that, but it ends up doing it.
Couldn't find any technical flaws with it, and the aftermath of all this is left open to the reader's imagination, which can be hopeful or not. I'd take the hopeful option, honestly, but that's personal preference.
Liked the story, even though it's not my scene.

I have a feeling the mare with the cello case is a reference to something Americans wouldn't get. So, out of Blossom's coltfriends and friends we heard about, i'm guessing Thunderlane and Cirrus are the fattest? Rock seems like one of those "lose weight after the break up" types, being a former jock but i could be vastly (no pun intended) wrong. Dunno about Breeze.

I can just see Rumble keeping up his feasts as he goes home, making him grow and grow. Maybe he can find a Blossom of his own to feed and plump him up. If not, he's always welcome in Blossom and Thunderlane's home. :)

If I may make one remark, though, with regards to continuing or things to mind in the future: Rumble is essentially isolated. He's going to try out for a team, but he's going to be alone for two months with his now known to be obese brother and the mare responsible.
What about Rumble's other relations? His friends, maybe potential team mates? He's stated to be a jock, so would he not have a girlfriend? We know Thunderlane's parents will be home at some point, but what about the ponies of Ponyville? There's no conflict between ponies with different ideas of what's right for him. At least, not before it's too late. Even his own brother doesn't object.
The other thing is the temptation and turning. It's good that it's left open, but at the same time it's not presented as compellingly as it could. There's no 'better to be fat' moment that really hammers home the weight (no pun intended) of Rumble's decision, I think. Now, again, this is a question of style: if the concept was to keep it ambiguous, maybe imply that the parents knew this would happen and wanted it to (to keep their son out of harsh competition, who knows), then never mind. If not, those two aspects are up for consideration, if not for sequels then for future stories in the same vein.
Hey, you can always make a sequel with Apple Bloom feeding him a weightloss potion... for cows. You know, milk out the fat. Don't worry about the downvotes. It's most likely just disapproval on principle, which is pretty meaningless.
7362181 I see your point about the lack of conflict, and to be honest, the reason for that is simply because that wasn't what I was going for. This was primarily intended as a fat fetish fic, meant to make some people's dicks happy. If I was going to write a serious story about Rumble deciding what was right for him... well, it would be a lot longer, for one thing, and wouldn't have quite as much focus on Rumble's growing belly.
Still, I'm a firm believer in "death of the author", so any interpretations of my writing are welcome.

Let's get a third story but this time bring in cirrus sweep all grown up, rock crawler, and fresh breeze fattened up with rumble to. So instead of having to feed just thunderland and rumble, she has to cook for all of them. And the demand for more food is slowly driving her crazy as time goes on. Or...
Have them all comeback but rock crawler list the weight and is the only one not falling for her manipulation of eating fatty foods.

Hey, Rumble is way too fat to play Soccer anymore (and seeing his vast fat butt bouncing across the field would be quite a sight.
) but he could have a very promising (and very fattening) career in eating contests. 
And if he joined the Ponyville Soccer team, that means he still lives there. If he hasn't seen Blossom since January of that year, despite living in the same town, where does he live adjacent to his brother and Blossomforth?

You know, given his tiny height, Rumble looks BIGGER than his 500 pound brother who's more than twice his weight. Makes me wonder how gigantic that bouncing butt would look. And that's not knowing how short the others were.
