Which season took place?
This series takes place sometime during the last few episodes of season 4, but BEFORE the final episode when Tirek blew up the Library, since the library is in the stories, and Twilight had her wings in the first story.

Buuut, as of right NOW, I have no plans to involve Zephyr in this story, no.
it all takes place pre-Tirek, so Zephyr would be away somewhere at this point in time.
He might be mentioned though, but he will NOT show up in this story.
It'll be really fun seeing where things go from here. ^^ This was a good update.

And well, from heer on out, it's gonna focus a lot on the reunion and the various asociated events (contests between classes and such.
In fact, it's gonna be a bit similar to the "Friendship Games" movie), but also involve some slice-of-life scenes inbetween,
since it tales place across a whole week. And there will be other things happening at / around the school reunion too,
such as meeting old friends and rivals, NEW friends and rivals, etc.
If I say more, I'm gonna start spoiling details, so I'll stop now..

My way of writing is basically, Plan the over-all "red line" of the story etc, and then improvise the details
and such along the way as I write.
So, all I can say is, they WILL appear at some point, but I haven't decided when and where.
I do have some ideas though, so they WILL be included sooner or later
Gilda's like the bigger sister to Fluttershy.
7544004 Yeah, in this chapter she did get a kinda "protective big sister" role, like Dash usually has, but since Dash wasn't there,
Gilda stepped in... I needed some way to get Gilda and Shy to "connect" a bit, and this was the most effective way for this story,
plus it also gave some "action" to the chapter to spice things up a bit

which means lots of mares and stallions, plus alcohol... So some (drunk) lame flirting basically has to happen, right?
Big difference between American football and rugby. For instance, American football stops for things like injuries and tackles, rugby might stop for things like death. From your description, try looking up Australian rules football, that's closer to what you have.
I'd also advise sticking the game description in a quote box just for formatting and neatness' sake, and you can drop the line telling who Drizzle and Grape are in the middle of the story since you name them later on anyway. You can add some more description there if you want to make it clearer that's who they are.

As for the football / rugby stuff - I'm FAR from a sports-fan, I know quite little about most sports (which made this chapter pretty hard for me to write, because of the sporty part).
In any case, for the rest of the story other things will happen, and sport events won't be as detailed and prolonged,
IF I include any more at all.

I've had a lot on my mind getting in the way of my writing, but that's mostly taken care of now, so I should have
more free time from now on to get chapters done faster
(no promises though, just positive thinking)

I thought that it would fit her, since that's exactly the kind of "controlled reckless-ness" Dash
is known for, and it IS her signature move, so I figured I need to get it in somewhere in this story...
And this just happened to be a perfect opportunity to do so
