Even for a princess, growing up can be scary. Luckily for Princess Luna, she doesn't have to do it alone.

Huge thanks to ShadowGentleman, Norris, Props, and Front for being spectacular people and editors!

Always nice to read a fluffy story about these two! Good job!

Adorable, nice work!

Chapped penguin lips? More like fluffy cuddly penguin lips if you're going to do more stories like this, amirite?

Y'all are all amazing. I really appreciate the support.

It's kinda sad reading this knowing that in the future Luna is going to go all 'Evil Queen of Darkness' and Celestia will be forced to imprison her on the Moon.

T'was such an adorable and fluffy story. :rainbowkiss: Definitely worth the wait.

Last second, I had considered doing that. I was going to have Celestia create a day for Luna that was all play, where ponies didn't have to go to work where they could on their passion or just chill out. Then, years later, that day comes around first year after Luna's banishment, and Celestia thinks back to why she created the day, aka the story itself.

I decided against it though. I didn't think it really had it's place in the story.

D'awww. Thank you! 'Tis quite floofy :twilightblush:

I always enjoy stories that deal with a young Celestia and Luna since we don't have much in the show to go off. Plus you made it adorable. Good job!

Thank you so much! And I appreciate the fav too. :rainbowwild:

Congrats on the feature, dude. This fic is cute af, nice job fam :>

He... he actually released something? And it's... featured? :rainbowderp:

Gently adds it to Read It Later.

Spoiler alert:
It's not shit.

Yeah, I'm just about as surprised as you, bud. :rainbowlaugh:

That cover image! Gets you right in the feels. :fluttercry: I'll certainly enjoy reading this tomorrow when I'm off.

Aw, glad it does. It was a bit of a struggle to find.

I hope you enjoy it when you get around to it!

I know I'm the twentieth person to say this, but yes, this is adorably fluffy. Thanks for writing, Chapped

Thank you, Chryssi. :rainbowwild:

I appreciate your support!

This fic is so adorable! It's so sweet it gave me diabetes. Still worth it though.

That was really sweet
Congrats on being featured; it definitely deserves it

Thanks, man! I appreciate you reading. :twilightsheepish:

This was so sweet that I got diabetes...

I love seeing Luna and Celestia in a feel-good fic like this. It was very well done. Good job yo.

It was my, uh, pleasure giving you diabetes :rainbowlaugh:

I'm glad you enjoyed the fic!

Good job dude, I enjoyed that a lot

I'm glad! :twilightblush:

Brilliant story pal:scootangel:
8177546 Did you ever read mine?

A lovely little read about some sisterly bonding^^

Aw. You read it! Thank you! And I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did your fic.

That was so sweet! I love your characterisation of both of them, and the line about painting the night sky made me audibly gasp on a crowded train. Thank you so much for sharing!

Oh god you wrote something!!! Yessssss imma read it rIGHT NAO

Haha, well I hope you enoy it. :derpytongue2:

Thank you. I'm so glad you liked it! I was a bit concerned with Celestia's dialogue when I started, so I'm glad I was able to do it well.

And as far as the painting the nice sky goes, it's a concept I drew from from my pal Fire Gazer the Alchemist. He has a story called 'Night's Silk' (which I highly recommend) which is the first time I'd ever heard of Luna painting the night sky, and I've held it dearly to me ever sense. It's a headcanon of mine, and I love it! It's really touching.

A heartwarming story about young Celestia and Luna... and Celestia actually has personality? o.o WOW. And I love how she says she came to cope with being a Princess, how helping other ponies with their dreams can make the job so much more enjoyable. It's an idea that's very dear to my heart, really, since I believe strongly in passion and emotions and the wonderful things that can be created with them.

This fic gets a favorite, hands down. Straight in my Heartwarming folder!

D'aww, so sweet. Even made me tear up a little. :applecry:

This is a very good one-shot.

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Aw. Thank you for sharing, because... as an author I didn't know I had the ability to make someone tear up, and I didn't think it was as emotional as some people were telling me. Maybe it was a little too close to home to me, so I shut off my emotions while writing it a bit more than I thought... but, it's nice to know my writing can have that sort of impact. Sorry, for making you tear up! :'C

Thank you for the high praise. It means a lot to me.

And I'm really, really, really, really, glad you liked Celestia's character. Being completely honest with you, her character was where I felt the most uncomfortable with how she'd be recieved. I was wondering if maybe I was doing something with her that people wouldn't like, so I was nervous. But I'm glad to know I got it right. :twilightsheepish: It's a huge relief.

It's actually quite nice to see an interaction between Celestia and Luna that's both heartwarming and positive, and doesn't in some way draw back to the "thousand years of silence." We've had more than enough edge and misery between the sisters to last a lifetime, both from the show itself, and the fandom. While it's not necessarily a negative thing, it does lead one to appreciate moments like these all the more. Good job.

Thank you.

I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Oh joy, I finally got around to reading this adorable thing!
It was just so nice and fluffy-- like a doughnut sweet, and heart stopping from the saturated fat... adorable. Yes!

I'm really glad you enjoyed it! And thanks for the comment.

Amazing story. I wish I could write something this good xD.

Aww. That's flattering. I really appreciate the compliment :twilightblush:

While I don't think it's that great, I am proud of it. And if you'd ever like an editor for a fic or some help, I'd be down for helping out :V ...provided life allows me to

This is definitely cute, with an interesting undertone of tragedy, given how Celestia has to act as more of a mother than a sister to Luna. I only have one issue with the story, but it's a big one. I'm sorry to say that this story has no sense of history.

Disposable tissues, people not starting jobs until their late teens, the Filly Scouts... Remember this is more than a millennium ago. More has changed in the intervening time than just the loss of the thou/you distinction. I'm not asking you to write the story in Early Modern English, but I do ask that you have some appreciation for the scope involved.

Aside from that, again, a cute and well-characterized moment between the royal sisters. Thank you for it.

this was really sweet and l hope you continue with the amazing stories.

That means a lot to me. Thank you.

your welcome.

Welp, you've given me a great headcanon for why Celestia would like being a Princess :)

So, I'm pretty sure I promised I'd give this a read... when it first came out... two years ago? Yeah...

Well, my inexcusable lateness aside, I quite enjoyed this one. Low-key slice of life character interaction isn't usually my thing, but I do like this insight into the princesses' youth, and how you characterise their pre-Nightmare relationship. It's... nice, seeing them on good terms, actually acting like sisters, and treating each other with mutual respect. Especially since canon has given us nothing like that lately. Sadly, I do have to echo FanOfMostEverything's criticisms about the setting anachronisms, but that's really my only complaint. So on the whole, I'd say it was pretty good. Nice work.
