I read this story a long time ago and had been trying to find it again for the longest time. It's one of my favorites!

7469683 there was a great one i read that was written from the perspective of a five start chef who had his restaurant burn down, he temporarily moves to Ponyville, and ends up adopting Scootaloo who ran away from her mom because she was a drunk and her father left her. i didn't get to finish reading the story though.
