what if the smoke guy possesses Soarin and makes him fall in love with snowflake and then rainbow starts to feel really bad. Her friends notice that and ask her what's wrong. After dash tells her friends she has a crush on Soarin and that he told her that he didn't like snowflake her and her friends try to find out what happened to him.
You don't have to use my idea but it was just something that came to my mind.
