I don't know why, but I keep thinking of Adam Sandler in place of Anon. Maybe it's because a lot of the stuff he does in this story is the same kinda stuff Sandler often does in pretty much any movie he stars in...?

Then again, it certainly ups the comedy factor a few dozen points!

Felt quite cliche towards the end, but it was a solid ending. A classic ending with a minor spin on it.

I feel a bit bad being a nay-sayer, (or neigh-sayer I suppose.) I just don't buy the romance through adversity and I didn't find myself drawn in. However your writing is good so I'm not gonna downvote or anything.

OMG!!!! That was such a hearth warming story. I was literally crying like a big baby so much it took some time for me to give up trying to read it and turn on the text to voice function. From the restaurant scene onward I was wiping tears out of my eyes more and more often. I love female Spike. There's just something about Barb that just really gets me right in the feelings.❤ Even now I'm still tearing up and sniffling bc I'm just so happy they finally realized.
