I can't wait to see the scions of sanguinius go fucking berserk from the red thirst.
7263649 Buddy, you don't, trust me....
early days of the Gat Crusade
So, Emperor sought it after all. The greatest achievment to be undertaken under the guise of Reunification of imperium. Tho achieve a state where one could transcende limitations of conventional weapons, where concept of enough dakka is no more myth, but reality.
By the way, what dicepool is Castello going to use?
7263768 Better than the Black Rage. Hell, my own custom chapter, they're required to succomb to the red thirst much like the blood drinkers chapter
7263896 Probably Officer, if only because DC Dreads are pretty rare.
7263835 Well that's an embarrassing typo.
There, fixed it. Thanks for catching it.
7264504 Glad to be of assistance.
7264504 From what I have gathered, BA currently have 4 HQ choises.
Earlier description mentioned that whole Angelic Host is 20 astartes strong, And that it has elements of sternguard veterans, command/sanguinary squad, assault squad and tactical squad. Then we add dreadnought and Stormraven. Barebones this is more than 1200 points of an army, but with thematic upgrades to ensure that the fluff is respected, correct number is closer to 1500.
On the other side, things are not looking so hot. Despite seemingly numerical advantage, chaos is in dire need of reinforcements.
2 HQ choises, Champion and Sorcerer.
Troops: 2 Word Bearer squads.
Elites: 8 World eaters, and lesser detachments of noise marines and plague marines.
Even when fully upgraded and giftedf they are behind in terms of points. I however am Certain that you have plans just for this exact situation, and that chaos is far from beaten. If I may however give a proposition, it would be to grant this army a detachment of Warpsmith and a retinue of Iron Warrior havocks, to counter BA vehicles and any siege that is going to happen. It would serve as great thematic catalyst as well.
7267286 Hm... you make a good point. I'll admit I know the BA Codex much better than Chaos, so I've not thought the latter's gear through as well. Some Iron Warriors mercs would work perfectly, now that i think about it.
And, oh, don't you worry, Chaos is far from done yet. Give it a chapter.
XD i lost my shit when i read this.

I think AJ had a meme moment.

7267584 The BA force should really invest in some IG allies with the casualties they're taking. Conscripts make perfect bolt sponges and normal guardsmen are good at putting firepower downrange
It occurs to me that the ponies are also lucky that the Blood Angels are one of the chapters which has managed to retain is primarily professional soldier mentality over other chapters' Blood Knight tendencies. It makes them almost reasonable. Almost.
This is another example of the Imperium's righteousness. You see the xenos? It blames the Astartes who saved her people for her people's death while ignoring the real culprits. Why? Because aliens are cowardly, wretched things! They seek to drag down the strong to feel strong themselves. They cannot face the darkness so they blaspheme against the light!
Nothing is so sacred as the sanctity of one's own mind. If she violates that again, I foresee her people's extinction.
That reminds me of the end of the Macharius Crusade. I still don't get how anywhere in the universe can be beyond the astronomicon's reach. It is psychic and, in the warp, physical distance means nothing. So, doesn't that mean literally nowhere is beyond the astronomicon's reach?
Ironically, he didn't know they were xenos until after he saved them. Otherwise he probably would have killed them himself.
So Ponyville lies in ruins and a lot of ponies died horribly... why the hell is Twilight bouncing in excitement? I know she's all about knowledge and discovery but there's a time and place ya know? For that matter everyone else seems to be taking the sudden and violent attack on Ponyville pretty well. No sign of any mental trauma to be seen so far.

I could probably justify it in-universe on the grounds that ponies seem to get over trauma really quickly (except for Starlight and Sunset, though notably they both got accepted into the Mane 6 pretty quickly, all things considered), but overall, yeah, it's a weak point. I really wish I could remember what I was thinking when I wrote that, so I'd at least have an explanation, but I don't. Was probably rushing to get that scene done.
EDIT: re-read that section. I think it was an attempt to show Twilight as sort of unbalanced by adrenaline and shock. Clearly, it didn't work.
So will Equestria girls get mentioned cause that would be an interesting experience especially if they go through the mirror to what probably an alternate Terra. Also shouldn't twilight at least Know what gun is since you know she been to the human world.

Maybe the fact that Ponyville just has so many random things happen that they’re clearly desensitized. Chaos Space Marines or not, watching the show Ponyville just doesn’t catch a break when it comes to randomness (both good and bad) that honestly I’m not surprised the rest of the town is like ‘welp, that’s done. Bury the dead and move on with life.’ Callous of me? Perhaps. But rewatch the show and try to tell me otherwise.
