You do realize the love interest flat out walks out when Scrooge's obsession with money turns him cold? And is never seen in the story again?
Adorable, and I think in my opinion this has to be the best story for this pairing I've seen so far.

That's kind of the point, in my mind. There would be yet another Hearth's Warming Past where Lightburst is trying to help her learn magic, but realizes her wants for magic are turning more selfish, despite saying she's learning to "better Equestria." At that point, Lightburst would sadly give up on Snowfall, telling her that despite the time they shared together, he wasn't going to hold that in higher regards then Starlight's personal wellbeing. Offended that Lightburst was willing to leave her, and feeling more then a bit shocked, angry, and bitter, she would come to associate those feelings with not only Lightburst, but Hearth's Warming Eve itself.
It would make more sense for her hate of the holiday to come from multiple bad expereinces, not just a snooty Snape teacher.
I really like the use of "'Starlight'" not acknowledging being cold as a metaphor for her not acknowledging her desire for intimacy. There is a certain limit where, for both of these things, our selves betray our minds. Just because I don't want to be cold, that doesn't mean I'm warm.
Also, the blending of the characters was done very well. It felt natural.
Overall, this was a good idea for a story. I'm glad I stumbled upon it.

Well this was a pretty interesting story but very cute so apparently there was more story Into the hearths warming tail that Twilight did not read about so Starlight read the story for herself and she saw the part of a little romance of snowfall and her Crush light burst which at times he looks like sunburst so basically it was the young snowfall Falling in Love but we all know what happened which I was kind of sad but instead it didn't go to a tragic love story but a very sweet one which is refreshing to say at least in the only reason why Twilight did not read that part is because of Spike really when I was young I saw a couple of Christmas Carol stories I never skipped anything from it even though I was never interested but still I saw the whole thing but anyway this was a pretty nice story keep up the good work
