Sunset Shimmer and the rest of the Humane Six are about to start their life on Canterlot University, but Rarity still has a surprise for all of them. Seems that one song that Sunset recorded in a game of truth and dare had found its way to the internet and has become a huge success.
With this news and deciding to maintain Sunset's anonymity in the human world, Rarity put 'Jem' as the official singer and the world unanimously want more of Jem, there is just one problem, she doesn't exist... or does she?

1. rainbow dash is clearly more passionate about music than soccer so i cant see her caring more about soccer in university than music
2. (this one is more personal) i really wish you had left Countess Coloratura plot of dropping her old music and going generic in mlp as i find that to be the biggest insult to music as an art form and that made it my most hated episode of the show just becuase lady gaga and others music is different dont make it any less of a form of art but that episode was all about how wrong that style was and how apple jack was so great for saving coloratura and putting her back on the path of true music instead of the aseop being some times people change and just because this music is different dont make it any less of a art (hell jems music which this story is based on has more in common with that style than it does the generic crap coloratura went to int he end)

1. i am mixed over all on having sunset not just form the holograms with the girls but im interested to see where this goes and which characters you will bring in so over all im happy i reconemnd vinyl scratch (as a mute) just a bit sad to see they will not be the holograms
2. i love the bit with jemset and sunrgy (my nick names) durring the video

Thank you for your comments and the critic, now I'll try to answer some of those concerns.
Cons
1.- I originally thought of making the Rainbooms into the Holograms but then I decided to use other characters for the band, that's why they start the contest. Also, I decided to make Rainbow more interested into sports in this universe due to the potential problems with Sunset/Jem for leading on the band, after all it is Jem and the Holograms and ego is one problem for the human Rainbow. Yes, it would have been funny and more dramatic to show them in the same band and having internal problems but I decided to let her stay as the leader of the Rainbooms and later on maybe make a friendly rivalry arc.
2.- Don't worry, the Countess will return, in fact her and Sapphire would probably be recurrent characters. The reasn she dropped the title was to make a new album, kind of like a concept one where she experimented with new sounds, which is pretty important with artist to remain fresh, that doesn't mean she will stop using the veil and the huge hairdos, I mean, this IS a Jem and the Holograms crossover fic, it fits way too perfectly.
Also, the reasons you give for not liking that episode mirror much of my own critique, so yes, the Countess will re-appear in this show just with many changes to her situation this time around.
Pros
1.- I decided to do that because I don't see AJ or Pinkie leaving everything to go for fame, Applejack is way too down to eart and in this dimension she focuses more on working with her family, she joined the Rainbooms because she wanted to help Rainbow Dash and play with her friends while Pinkie... is Pinkie, she will do things because they are fun and to be with her friends while making people happy, while Fluttershy will work on lyrics with Sunset. For the rest of the Holograms I have in mind girls with a more 80s type of style from either the movies or the toyline, don't worry, all of them have appeared before in EG or the show. Also, yeah. Vinyl will be part of the band, just not all the time playing.
2.- I had way too much fun creating this Synergy; since she wasn't created by Papa Benton I wanted to give her a unique look and personality and that's how Synergy ended up like, it wasn't even a conscious decision, it just made sense while I was writing her, their interactions will be a focal point in the story unlike in the cartoon where she was only a gadget, here she will have her own opinions and shenanigans.
3.- Love cake.

7246321 The sister's name is Kimber, Jem is Jerrica, and yeah, that is one of the reasons why I put Sonata there
from wikipedia: Jem's group, "the Holograms", consists of Kimber Benton, Jerrica's younger sister, keyboardist, and main songwriter for the band; Aja Leith, guitarist; and Shana Elmsford, who plays the synth drums.
Rarity is on keyboard, Zecora on drums. So I guess Sonata on guitar.
Zecora and Sonata in the Holograms? Nice, but why I feel that Adagio would be in the Misfits-equivalent....

No, he didn't say Changlings (what sounds like a band full off people with the name Chang), Flash said Changelings. But it's a name that fits, they just want to be loved (and maybe even need it to survive), and stop at nothing too achieve it.
Now that band is complete and the first song is a fact I can't wait till the real story begins.
