Author's Note

Merry Christmas everyone!
I hope your Christmas is as splendid as mine has been here in New Zealand!
(If you didn't know by now, I've moved to NZ with my wife for 2 years.)

So, as I did with the first entry to this story, here's my author's note.

What a story ey?
I must say from the writer's perspective, this book has turned into far more than I could have imagined when first writing it, the following sequel will continue this growing world, and I can't wait to see you there to read it!

Speaking of growing worlds, here's the main announcement.
The Titan's Orb now has an official Wiki page in the works, complete with background lore and detailed writeups on both the most important and most trivial of elements to this story.
It's a time-consuming but ultimately enjoyable hobby now, developing a complete treasure trove of information about my beloved story, so please feel free to check it out!

There's not MUCH info right now, but still enough to be worth sharing.
So far there's info on characters, Callum, Twilight, and Rarity.
There's info on the Titan's Orb itself, and a template for Vitra 'Aku, the Titan's Sword.
There's also some lore on past events in the story, which I'm sure you'll enjoy learning about.

That's all for this announcement, I really hope you've enjoyed this section of the journey.
Please follow up on my blog posts for updates on the sequel and it's (currently unannounced) release date.
And don't forget to smash that like button to support me and my work, it means the world to me.

Again, Merry Christmas, and I'll be seeing you in the New Year.
Here's to 2019, here's to adventure, here's to this fandom, and here's to love!
- Callum H

PS: Anyone with interest in my other works (not fanfic related, be sure to check my Old Man Dusters YouTube channel, I'm working on a very big project, which I have just released a trailer for!
Here's the link to that - https://www.youtube.com/c/OldManDusters
Bye bye now!

I look forward to the upcoming story!

Ah, I see you are into your WoW lore as well.
You have my approval.

And no, the Mana Well Nightmares (or simply nicknamed "Fel Ravagers"), aren't that similar to the Klaxxi, they're more akin to the Stonescythes located in the Hellfire Peninsula. But I can see why you'd think they're similar, they share a similar creepy and 'lanky' appearance.

Y’know, when I first heard that Stardust had a Scottish accent, Scrooge Mcduck came to my mind. I don’t know why! He’s one of the only popular cartoon characters I know with that accent I guess.

Enjoyed reading this story looking forward for the next one! :D

When would the next book be readable

I started writing the 3rd instalment back in February and have a number of chapters completed already, I'll finish a couple more chapters before releasing. It'll definitely be unveiled along with its title within the next couple of months, I'm aiming for a July / August release.

Oh awesome I’m looking forward to it

Is the Hoyt in this story a reference to Hoyt Volker in far cry 3? Also, is Vass another reference to the same game?

Yes, and yes. :pinkiehappy:
The events of FarCry 3 are canon in The Titan's Orb, both stories happen within the same time-frame.
It's the same Hoyt Volker, and his visitation to Portugal is within the same timeline of the game, when Jason Brody is still on the Vaas' half of the island, so it works chronologically. Ingeo Montenegro in the first book is also Vaas' cousin, as discovered in "Chapter 18: The Plot".

See quote -

“You’ve got your problem with Snow White already, by the time you get him, this will all be under control! I mean it! You just worry about my cousin! He may be working for you, but he’s got too much power on his half of the island, he will try to take you over!” Ingeo continued to talk to his apparent boss.

Gordon Ramsey reference spotted! yankee dankee doodle doo shite

Will other World of Warcraft characters be in the sequel?

Oh yes, a small number of familiar faces will present themselves.
But do note that I'm adding the WoW Universe mainly as a backing plot element to the Titan's Orb Universe , this novel series won't have any visitations to Azeroth, nor a deep insight to the story of Nah'Lek's Horde, so try not to get your hopes up on any story arcs revolving around the WoW Universe.
That said, there will absolutely be some story-defining interactions with known WoW characters. :pinkiehappy:

glad you enjoyed ‘em, :D and oke, :D still, didn’t give a complete shiteward of an answer, :P

yes, yes it is, 🤣

TO ALL NEW READERS: DO NOT ADVANCE FURTHER DOWN THE COMMENT SECTION PAST THIS COMMENT ON THE HOME PAGE FOR THIS STORY AS IT HOLDS SOME MASSIVE SPOILERS! (from me, sorry, :3 legitimately the very next two comments holds what is probably the biggest spoilers ever,)

You can edit comments and place a spoiler mark over the top, it's a big grey box with "Sp" written on it.
Like this --> Gosh, I love Twinkies.

I know, only works with normal words tho, THIS DOESN'T HOWEVER, (completely breaks it in fact,) XD also the friend request you got over steam? Ye, that’s me,

Perhaps don't type spoilers in that font, ey? :rainbowlaugh:
And yes, I've received and accepted your invite.

Yay, on both ends, :D

I read the first story 'The Titan's Orb' a while back. I never expect it to have a sequel story so I read this one for like a couple of chapters. I didn't read an further and just go to read other stories until I felt like going back to read this sequel.

And make it even more unreadable? christ.
Also, how long to the third installment?
Anywho, here it is,

Any updates yet?

Yes actually!
The 3rd instalment is very nearly ready, I'm about 70% done with the 5th chapter.
I'll release the book upon the chapter's completion.
I just wanted some chapters in the backlog, so I don't keep people waiting AFTER the book's out.
Know what I mean?

The first chapter will also have a personal video in the Author's Note, from myself.
I'll be explaining why it's taken so long, and just to communicate with my audience.

Any idea when the chapters will come out? Looking forward for the third book!
