Michael Hudson

Original Works. It was a good run.

How? Digga, just how did you do that? It has been 5 maybe 6 hours since the episode came out? Color me impressed.

A bit confusing, but I liked it nonetheless.

Ooh, Suri, you are so dead.

Damn, quick! Interesting take on the Maud Sense. Nice back and forth between present and past. I like this one.

7088810 Thank you, and fixed. Also, I do agree that it is an interesting concept, and that 1k is not enough. However, I am not going to be the author who fulfills it potential, just merely one hoping I can inspire others to think on the topic, and entertain through the short tale of a character's power.

Oh, I get it now.

After a quick reread, I finally realized what the story was about. Thanks for the help!

Holy crap! You're fast as silvak? You might as well try to out-speed silvak in a contest. That will be a great challenge indeed.

This calls for a writing contest! OF SCI-FY/DARK FAN FICTION!

Or a write co-op, either way if this is too sudden for you than so is this fic.

BRONY PHILOSOPHER AWAY!

Aku

The pink filly was so small back then, so weak, and didn’t know how to properly cheer up ap onlylike Marble yet. So now, Maud would be asked if she knew, a task she hated needing to fill.

I think you meant 'a pony like'

7088844 Fixed, and thank you.

7088816
...huh. I like this idea.

7088851 You are welcome, this was a very good fic, so thank you.

An interesting topic, that it is. My only hangup was one of confusion.

“I’m… I’m going to find somepony someday, right? Marble isn’t going to be the only one I can consider for the rest of my life…

With this bit, what is Limestone trying to say?

7089077 She got rejected and told she was ugly, and because Limestone already knows that she is going to be stuck on the farm, with MAYBE Marble, she is afraid she'll be alone forever unless she falls in more than sisterly love for Marble. This is made all that more difficult by her being a lesbian here, hence why the pony in Maud's mind is a mare.

So it wasn't me reading this wrong when I thought of a potentially romantic involvement between Limestone and Marble?

Also, side note: I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Limestone is the oldest of the Pie sisters. I'll try and cite my sources if I get the chance.

Edit: Twitter post from the writer of Heathbreakers, Nick Confalone.

7089117 It would be useful, though I may leave it as is even if you do, simply because it keeps coherency by making Maud the oldest.

Maud sense... It appears to be telepathic at the start, an imge, in idea, that imprints onto her mind and allows her to find them like a magnet.

And then, she uses her power, the power to drain life, positivity, laughter and wonder from her target, bending their psyches as she rends their will. Then without a word, they are under her power, a deep, evolutionary submission reflex. Something that tells them that they have been marked to change their ways.

If they do not, they will suffer in silence, as their soul is petrified from the inside out, their minds slowing, weakening, losing function as synapses freeze.

A lobotomy from eye contact.

7090040 That is dark. I'm kinda afraid of Maud now.

7090362 Maud knows where you are. Pinkie knows and get inside without trouble.

One is content with brining joy. One loathes her curse.

Both a different side of the Pie coin.

This was quite good, both the story and MidnightFMare's observations on Maud sense.
I hope you'll consider doing more, either one shots or a novella.

7088830 How long is this contest open, I ask? I wanna knoooow!

7738499 Ha!:rainbowlaugh: I wish. I only asked if they wanted one, I didn't actually get any response. Sucks for every reader I guess:pinkiesad2:

I don't know why, I just thought everyone would jump at the opportunity. Maybe if you made amateur writers do it, it can still be fun. No write offs I guess:ajsleepy:

7739514 Ok. I'm working so much right now, I probably wouldn't be able to do it anyway. Working on a story on a website called Quotev, along with LOTS of other stories.
