Stories set in the Oversaturated World, some silly, some less so.
The following is emphatically noncanon. We have a plan for Indigo Zap.
And yeah, just the one. It's been a quiet week on the fiction thread. Still, I hope you like it.
Over the past several months, the students at Canterlot High had gotten used to having strange people popping out of the Wondercolt statue with little or no warning. And so it was that when four individuals stepped out of the statue, quite a few of those passing by didn’t give them a second glance. But of those who did give them that second glance, virtually all went back for third and fourth glances. Even by Canterlot High standards, this was unusual.
Two of the four visitors were familiar to the student population of Canterlot. One was, apparently, Vice Principal Beleren from Ravnica High dressed in a very formal, if somewhat rumpled and ill-fitting suit and tie. The second was a supremely furious Indigo Zap, handcuffed, surrounded by a cylinder of glowing blue and white runes, and being manhandled by the third individual, a burly figure covered in full-body riot armor in white-trimmed blue. The fourth figure was a unicorn-aspect woman clad in a police uniform and what looked to be a bulletproof vest, only made of silver and with a cape the same rich blue as her eyes and gem.
Vice Principal Beleren’s headgem lit up, but he didn’t seem to be actually doing anything. There was a moment’s silence as the three aliens and the returnee regarded the locals. Vice Principal Beleren made several interesting faces, but before he could do or say anything, Sunset Shimmer materialized in a flash of light.
“Ok,” said Sunset. “Who are you, what are you doing here, how’d you get past customs, and why do you look like Vice Principal Beleren?”
“In reverse order,” replied the one who evidently wasn’t Vice Principal Beleren, “I have no idea why this world has a Jace Beleren as well, we didn’t know there were any customs but would be quite happy to go through properly, and we’re here to work out jurisdiction and legal protocols for trying her…” here a wave of one hand indicated Indigo, “… given that she’s technically a citizen of a foreign polity.”
“Wait, trying her?” Sunset looked confused. “Trying her for what?”
The woman in the silver vest spoke up, a flicker of light sparking in her gem. “Indigo Zap is currently charged with five hundred thirty-seven counts of criminal enthrallment, seventeen counts of vandalism and destruction of private property worth a total of seven thousand two hundred eleven zinos, two counts of destruction of public property worth three thousand one hundred forty-five zinos, seventeen counts of assault with a lethal weapon, nine counts of assaulting an officer of the law with a lethal weapon, two counts of assaulting an officer of the law with another officer of the law, two counts of unnecessary tossing of the citizenry, one count of public indecency, one count of…”
“Celestia's left wing, what happened?” blurted out Sunset, cutting off the woman’s recitation. “And you,” she said, leveling a finger at the man in the suit, “stop poking around in people’s heads. I can tell you’re doing it, even if you’re smart enough not to try it on me.”
The man looked embarrassed. “Sorry about that,” he said. “Most people don’t notice, and it’s the quickest way to find out what they do and don’t know so I can explain. As for your question, the short version is that Indigo planeswalked into the middle of a market, enthralled most everyone in sight, and when a few people resisted or blocked the effect, she got angry and started throwing lightning around. Started by blasting buildings, but moved on to going after people pretty quickly. Luckily, there were Azorius and Boros forces on station, so they were able to subdue her with no fatalities. And to belatedly offer some introductions, I’m Jace Beleren, Guildpact of Ravnica. Given that working out the legalities for Indigo’s trial involved extraplanar matters, it was determined that I was the logical person to handle it. This is Lavinia, my aide, and the one holding Indigo is Arrestor Calian.”
“Well,” said Sunset, “guess I had better get Lyra. She's the closest thing we have to an expert on multidimensional legal codes. Then we can go speak to… I guess the president, or maybe the Supreme Court? This is going to take a while.”
“Justice always does,” said Lavinia calmly.

Even if not cannon, I could still so easily see this happening.
I'd say Indigo needs psychiatric help, but the line for that probably extends down the street and into the next galactic cluster.
Funny, but also oddly specific. Makes me wonder how often this had to occur for there to be a law just for that.
I know it's not cannon, but I must ask... would the fact that she had ben under active mind control at the time of her ejection from reality be a factor in determining if she could be imprisoned for these crimes? That is to say, would the crimes she committed be legally her fault, or would they be the fault of Cinch, who was magically manipulating her at the time?
It might be nice to see Cinch be extradited for Indigo's little rampage...
Glad to see someone else besides FoME putting familiar faces to MtG stats.
I do find myself curious how Lavinia and the Arrester got there, considering it's deadly for non-'Walkers to attempt travelling through the Blind Eternities.
Though, if I were to hazard a guess, Jace may have just summoned them or something.

It's Ravnica. The Azorius Senate has laws for everything. After all, no telling what the Rakdos cultists or Simic grafters will try to get past them.

Ditzy does have a lot of strange stuff in her attic. The parts to make a Planar Portal or Planar Bridge wouldn't be entirely out of the question, especially if Jace got a friendly Planeswalking artificer to help.

I wouldn't go that far. This isn't Neon Genesis Evangelion; therapists do exist in this world. Indeed, many of them received magic of some form or another that helps with their jobs. (They also got the ethical issues of using some of that magic, but that's their problem.)
8115509
Aside from 8116407's point about the Azorius legislating everything, there are a number of megahumanoid species on Ravnica. Ogres, giants, trolls, and others may employ arresters as metal-coated bludgeons. In Indigo's case, she threw them.

The Friendship Games team members were the least enthralled Shadowbolts during the Battle of the Friendship Games, as seen by how some defected and Sour Sweet got out of Dodge. Leaving the plane broke any other influence Cinch might have had on Indigo. This one's on her.

I can't speak for Void Knight—in the case of the meta-assault explained above, I added that charge myself—but I suspect that's why Jace emerged from the portal statue rather than simply appearing in that universe. Of course, there's the issue of the Izzet having planar portal technology and the knowledge and ramifications attendant to it, but this isn't canon, so it's not too much of a concern.
Hopefully.
You and me both, Mister Guildpact. I mean, at the very least Ral Zarek seems a more logical choice for a second-in-command to NIv-Mizzet who's actually second in command.
Although, what with the presence of Soundwave, I guess the Oversaturated World is basically just a humanized-Hasbro hubworld, so...
*Sigh* Can't they just pay off the damage, scrub Indigo's brain of all memories and 'personality' until all she can do is drool and permanently bind her magic? It's probably going to mean a lot less aggravating interaction with bureaucracy and Indigo's upcoming and her inevitable permanent institutionalisation in a facility for the criminally insane will likely have the same end result for her!

... And here I was hoping they finally had something to pin on Cinch. Let's face it, even with her powers reduced, her attitude and position of authority makes for an incredibly dangerous combination in the new, magic-filled world, and having her be an object lesson may help prevent others form following a similar path.
Especially if it was "revealed" that her punishment would consist of several years hard labor to pay of the damages followed by an execution method that traditionally takes at least a month to finally kill her. Even if blatantly untrue, no one would risk causing an interdimensional incident after learning of such a punishment.
Wow. I just realized this story had 193 chapters of varying levels of canonicity and crazyness. That's a lot of chapters.
Also, wondering if that's a crossover with Elementals of Harmony 'verse. That'd explain some things.
8115937
Yeah, Jace brought them along.
Something I realised, but Indigo appearing on Ravnica was probably one of the best case scenarios.
Theros? Get smited the moment she opens her mouth about her "godhood".
Innistrad? Get smacked down by angels, vampires or worse.
Zendikar? Good luck channeling magic on a plane that is as temperamental as a PMS-ing dragon.
New Phyrexia? The less said the better.

Story Shuffle is loosely connected to both universes; small bits from that side story are canon, but nothing from the Elementals of Harmony/Phthisis is Magic main storyline is canon here except for the idea that they are part of vague metafictional multiverse.
Rereading now that Rivals of Ixalan is out, I am pleasantly amused by Indigo Zap being basically Angrath.
